Léon Aimé Taverde, F.M.C (17 July 1923 – 8 August 2013), was a French prelate of the Catholic Church. He was born in Avanne, France, and was ordained a priest on 25 September 1955. He was appointed bishop to the Diocese of Langres on 14 October 1981 and was ordained bishop on 29 November 1981. He retired on 16 December 1999 as bishop of the Langres Diocese.
Léon-Raymond Soulier (13 January 1924 – 25 December 2016) was a French Prelate of the Catholic Church. Soulier was born in Le Malzieu-Ville. He was ordained a priest on 28 June 1947. Soulier was appointed bishop to the Diocese of Pamiers on 22 June 1971 and consecrated on 12 September 1971. Soulier was appointed Coadjutor Bishop to the Diocese of Limoges on 9 July 1987 and succeeded Henri Gufflet on 13 July 1988. Soulier retired from the Diocese of Limoges on 24 October 2000.
Louis-Paul-Armand Simonneaux (19 January 1916 – 22 January 2009) was a French prelate of the Roman Catholic Church and was one of the oldest living bishops and one of oldest French bishops at the time of his death.
Paul-Marie François Rousset, Ist. del Prado (August 27, 1921 – January 9, 2016), was a French prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.
Rousset was born in Grièges and was ordained a priest on February 24, 1945, from the religious order of Ist. del Prado. Rousset was appointed titular bishop of the Utimma as well as auxiliary archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lyon on January 24, 1966. He was ordained a bishop on March 6, 1966. Rousset was appointed bishop of Saint-Étienne on February 23, 1971, and resigned from the diocese on September 28, 1987. He died on January 9, 2016.
Guy-Marie Riobé (1911–1978) was a French Catholic Bishop of Orléans in office 1963 to 1978. He held liberal, progressive views influenced by the climate of the Second Vatican Council.
He became prominent because of an altercation with Admiral Sanguinetti, over France's possession of a nuclear deterrent. He died following a swimming accident. His successor, Jean-Marie Lustiger, avoided any reference to Riobé during his installation after a fifteen-month interregnum (1979).Riobé promoted a de-centered vision of the priesthood, arguing in favor of the creation of new types of ministries.
Pierre Auguste Gratien Pican S.D.B. (27 February 1935 – 23 July 2018) was a French prelate of the Catholic Church who served as Bishop of Bayeux from 1988 to 2010. In 2001, he was given a three-month suspended sentence for failing to notify civil authorities of charges of sexual abuse of a minor made against one of his priests, the first criminal conviction of a French bishop since the Revolution.
Daniel Pézeril (5 October 1911 in La Serena, Chile – 22 April 1998 in Paris) was the Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop of Paris in the time of Cardinal François Marty. Before this he had been Curé of Saint-Séverin, a parish known for its liturgical role in the years preceding Vatican II. The author of several spiritual works, he was also keenly involved in dialogue with non-believers, and in particular was known to be open to currents in French freemasonry. Pézeril is believed also to have played a key role in the decision to appoint Jean-Marie Lustiger as archbishop of Paris.
Jean Pierre Marie Orchampt (9 December 1923 – 21 August 2021) was a French prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Prior to his death, he was the oldest living bishop from France, at the age of 97.
Orchampt was born in Vesoul and was ordained a priest on 29 June 1948. Orchampt was appointed auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Montpellier as well as titular bishop of Aquae in Mauretania on 14 June 1971 and consecrated on 18 September 1971. Orchampt was appointed bishop of Diocese of Angers on 5 July 1974 and remained at this post until his retirement on 20 March 2000. He died in August 2021 at the age of 97.
Michel Mondésert (5 December 1916 – 16 April 2009) was a French prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.
Mondésert was born in Villefranche-sur-Saône, Rhône, and was ordained a priest on 11 July 1943. Appointed Auxiliary Bishop to the Diocese of Grenoble-Vienne on 4 June 1971 and ordained bishop on 25 September 1971. He would remain bishop of Grenoble-Vienne until his retirement on 11 January 1992.

Didier-Léon Marchard (1 November 1925 – 16 February 2022) was a French Roman Catholic bishop.
Marchard was born in France and was ordained to the priesthood in 1951. He served as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Valence, France from 1978 until his retirement in 2001. Marchand died on 16 February 2022, at the age of 96.
