Priscila Navarro (born 27 April 1994, in Huánuco) is a Peruvian pianist. At age 5 she began practicing her first notes on a keyboard she had received as a Christmas gift. As she learned quickly her father continued to support her talent and she was enrolled in a summer course of piano at the National Cultural Institute in Trujillo, Peru, with Professor Silvia Rosales Tam.
As of 2014, Navarro is enrolled at the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Claudio Constantini is an internationally acclaimed multiinstrumentalist (pianist, bandoneonist) and composer born in Peru (Perú in Spanish) and currently living in Spain. Known for his eclectic nature and dazzling performances, he feels at home in a variety of musical genres.
Edward Kilenyi Jr. (1910 – 2000) was a classical pianist. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 7, 1910. Kilenyi studied in Hungary with the composer/pianist Ernő Dohnányi at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, earning a diploma in 1930. He later became a Professor of Music at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in 1953, four years after Dohnanyi began teaching there. He died on January 6, 2000. A collection of recordings of his concerts is located at the International Piano Archives at the University of Maryland (IPAM).
His father, Edward Kilenyi Sr. (1884 – 1968), also a noted musician, arrived in the United States from Hungary in 1908. Kilenyi Sr. taught music to George Gershwin for five years and wrote music for the Sam Fox Publishing Company and over 40 movies from the 1910s-1940s.
Jean-Joël Barbier (25 March 1920 – 31 May or 1 June 1994) was a French writer, musicologist and pianist.Born in Belfort, Barbier began studying literature and music with Blanche Selva and Lazare Lévy but was interrupted by the onset of World War II.He was a reasonably prolific writer in France, publishing A Dictionary of French Musicians in 1961 and collaborating with La Revue Musicale on a frequent basis. As a pianist, he played mostly the works of French composers such as Claude Debussy, Emmanuel Chabrier and Déodat de Séverac. He later recorded the complete piano works of Erik Satie, which he is most known for today.He died in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
