Swimmers at the 1972 Summer Olympics

Dr. Gary Wayne Hall Sr. (born August 7, 1951) is an American former competitive swimmer, three-time Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder in five events. He is also a former ophthalmologist.

Trine Krogh (18 January 1955 – 3 May 2014) was a Norwegian freestyle, butterfly and medley swimmer. She was born in Oslo, and represented the club Oslo IL. She competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, in 200 m medley and 400 m medley.

Karl Christian Koch (born 3 April 1952) is a Danish former breaststroke swimmer. He competed in two events at the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Claude Mandonnaud (born 2 April 1950 in Limoges) is a retired French freestyle swimmer who won two medals at the 1966 and 1974 European Aquatics Championships. She also participated in the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics with the best achievement of sixth place in the 200 m freestyle event in 1968.

Alain Mosconi (born 9 September 1949) is a French former swimmer, Olympic medalist and world record holder. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics in six freestyle, butterfly and medley relay events. In 1968 he won a bronze medal in the 400 m freestyle and finished in fifth place in the 200 m individual freestyle and 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. In 1972, his best achievement was seventh place in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.He won two medals at the European Championships in 1966 and 1970. In 1967 he set world records in the 400 metres freestyle and 800 metres freestyle.
He was president of General Motors, SEAT and Fiat, in France.
