Maria Dąbrowska ([dɔmˈbrɔfska]; born Maria Szumska; 6 October 1889 – 19 May 1965) was a Polish writer, novelist, essayist, journalist and playwright, author of the popular Polish historical novel Noce i dnie (Nights and Days) written between 1932 and 1934 in four separate volumes. The novel was made into a film by the same title in 1975 by Jerzy Antczak. Besides her own work, she was also known for translating Samuel Pepys' Diary into Polish. In addition, Dąbrowska was awarded the prestigious Golden Laurel of the Polish Academy of Literature in 1935, and she was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature eleven times between 1939 and 1965.

Domenico Serra (1899–1965) was an Italian stage and film actor. He made more than sixty films, many of them during the silent era including Mario Bonnard's historical film The Betrothed (1923). In the sound era, he largely played supporting or minor roles.

Raymond Rognoni (Paris, 16 August 1892 – Paris, 26 September 1965) was a French actor and comedian. He worked in the theatre and in film (Sylvie et le fantôme, Les Enfants du Paradis), sometimes credited as Rognoni.

Carlos Eugenio Chardón Palacios (28 September 1897 – 7 March 1965) was the first Puerto Rican mycologist, a high-ranking official in government on agriculture during the 1920s, the first Puerto Rican appointed as Chancellor of the University of Puerto Rico (1931–1935), and the head of the Puerto Rico Reconstruction Administration in the mid-to late 1930s during the Great Depression. He was also known as "the Father of Mycology in Puerto Rico". He discovered that the aphid "Aphis maidis" was the vector of the sugar cane Mosaic virus. Mosaic viruses are plant viruses.
In the 1920s, he was appointed as Commissioner of Agriculture and Labor. In that position, he traveled in Central and South America, aiding agricultural programs in Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia and Dominican Republic. After serving as a university administrator and head of a major agency, he returned to his academic work in the fields of land use and agriculture in 1940 and later. He published several books on his studies in Puerto Rico and Latin America.

Odd Carl Arthur Borg (May 26, 1931 – November 13, 1965) was a Norwegian actor and singer. He was engaged with the Central Theater from 1953 to 1960, and with the National Theater from 1960 until his death. Borg was found dead behind the Amphitheater Stage (Norwegian: Amfiscenen) after the premiere of the play Hva skal vi gjøre? by Klaus Rifbjerg and Jesper Jensen.As a singer, he recorded the song "Jeg plystrer mens jeg går" (I Whistle While I Walk) on a gramophone record in 1957. It was a Norwegian version of the American hit "Just Walkin' in the Rain." As an actor, he is remembered for roles such as the intolerable daddy's boy and shipowner Rieber-Larsen Jr. in Operasjon Løvsprett, as a naval commander in Operasjon Sjøsprøyt, and the male lead role in Støv på hjernen. The same year he died, he starred in the next to last Stompa film, Stompa forelsker seg.
Odd Borg was married to the dancer Anne Borg. Borg was a cousin of the Olsen Gang director Knut Bohwim.
