Prof Emil Clement Jungfleisch FRSE MIF (1839-1916) was a French biochemist and pharmacist. He studied molecular dissymmetry.

Pierre Potier (22 August 1934 – 3 February 2006) was a French pharmacist as well as a chemist. He held the position of Director of the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles (1974 to 2000), as well as a teaching position at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle. He was a member of the Académie nationale de pharmacie, the Académie des sciences, the Académie des technologies and the Academia Europaea.

Lucien Abenhaim is a scientific entrepreneur. He has created several academic research groups and Medtechs, including [RE]MEDs, specialised in the repurposing of medicines.
He was a member of the Executive Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Jacques Servier (9 February 1922 – 16 April 2014) was a French doctor and businessman. He was the founder and president of Laboratoires Servier, a pharmaceutical company.
