Pierre Léon Marie Fournier (24 June 1906 – 8 January 1986) was a French cellist who was called the "aristocrat of cellists" on account of his elegant musicianship and majestic sound.

Henri Cadiou (March 26, 1906, Paris – April 6, 1989) was a French realist painter and lithographer, best known for his work in trompe-l'œil paintings. He is credited with being a founder of the l’école de la réalité in 1949 (now called Mouvement Trompe-l'œil-réalité). The movement, a reaction against abstract art, became relevant at the Salon de Mai of 1960, where Cadiou exhibited almost photorealistic paintings. These paintings (in particular Shower Curtain and Electoral Panel) caused a stir in the artistic community.Cadiou’s trompe-l'œil paintings feature large groups of everyday objects depicted in a realistic style. He was also a painter of genre scenes.Due to renewed interest in precursors to contemporary hyperrealism, the group of painters associated with the “peintres de la réalité” have been seeing a contemporary resurgence, with recent exhibitions in Europe, Asia, and North America.

Georges Blond (Jean-Marie Hoedick, 11 July 1906 in Marseille – 16 March 1989 in Paris), was a French writer. A prolific writer of mostly history but also other topics including fiction, Blond was also involved in far right political activity.

Stefan Paul Andres (26 June 1906 – 29 June 1970) was a German novelist.
He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature.As the Nazi regime flexed its power, Andres moved away to Italy in 1937, returning to Germany 13 years later. He was a widely read German writer in the post-World War II period.

He was the father of the comedic actress Bérangère Vattier. His sister was actress Nicole Vattier, a star of the 1930s.

Alexis Thépot (30 July 1906 – 21 February 1989) was a French footballer. He was the goalkeeper of the France national team in the first two World Cups, 1930 and 1934, and an Olympian.

She was particularly associated with Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss roles, and with Verdi's Lady Macbeth. Heinz Harmel (29 June 1906 – 2 September 2000) was a German SS commander during the Nazi era. He commanded the 10th SS Panzer Division Frundsberg during World War II. Harmel was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords of Nazi Germany.
