Bobby_Wolff

Robert S. (Bobby) Wolff (born October 14, 1932, San Antonio, Texas) is an American bridge player, writer, and administrator. He is the only person to win world championships in five different categories. He is a graduate of Trinity University.Wolff was an original member of the Dallas Aces team, which was formed in 1968 to compete against the Italian Blue Team which was dominant at the time. The Aces were successful and won their first world championship in 1970. Wolff has won 11 world championships, over 30 North American championships, and was the president of World Bridge Federation (WBF) 1992–1994, and served as president of American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) 1987. He is the author of a tell-all on bridge chronicling 60 years on the scene, entitled The Lone Wolff, published by Master Point Press. His column, The Aces on Bridge has been appearing daily for over 32 years, is syndicated by United Feature Syndicate in more than 130 newspapers worldwide and is available online two weeks in arrears.
Wolff lived in Dallas at the time of his induction into the ACBL Hall of Fame in 1995.

Carsten_Smith

Carsten Smith (born 13 July 1932, in Oslo) is a Norwegian judge and lawyer.
He served as Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo (1977–1979) and as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Norway (1991–2002). After his retirement from the court, he continued to handle international arbitration cases, and worked with the United Nations.He was appointed Reader in Law at the University of Oslo in 1960 and Professor of Law with a specialization in commercial and banking law in 1964. He also was the first chairman of the Sami Rights Commission.Among his many published works is Kausjonsrett. Carsten Smith was awarded the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav on 13 May 2003. In 1985, he received the Fritt Ord Honorary Award. He is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He also received honorary degrees from several institutions, including Uppsala University and Brigham Young University.

Per_Ditlev-Simonsen

Per Ditlev-Simonsen (born 12 June 1932) is a Norwegian politician. He was the mayor of Oslo, representing the Conservative Party, from 1995 to 2007. He stepped down on 23 August 2007 following the Swiss bank-account scandal.
Ditlev-Simonsen was an officer of the Norwegian Royal Guards, and he later attended Stanford University getting a Master of Arts degree. After college, Ditlev-Simonsen became a partner in his father's shipping company Sverre Ditlev-Simonsen & Co (SDS) in 1955. He was a partner in the company until 1995.
Ditlev-Simonsen was a Member of Parliament from 1981 to 1985, serving in the Standing Committee of Finance. From 1989 to 1990 Ditlev-Simonsen was Minister of Defence in the Cabinet of Jan P. Syse.

Eloisa_Cianni

Eloisa Cianni (23 June 1932 – 27 May 2022) was an Italian actress, model and beauty pageant winner.
Cianni was born in Rome as Aloisa Stukin, with the surname derived from her Polish adoptive father Stanislaus Stukin, who had married her mother Ida Furnace.In 1952 she won the Miss Italia beauty contest, and one year later she was elected Miss Europe.Cianni subsequently started a career as model and actress, debuting in the Gianni Franciolini's 1953 comedy film Villa Borghese.Cianni died in Morlupo on 27 May 2022, at the age of 89.

Knut_Bjørnsen

Knut Bjørnsen (26 July 1932 – 14 November 2008) was a sports commentator and journalist for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
In his youth, Bjørnsen was a promising speed skater. He was junior Norwegian champion in 1951. He worked for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation between 1961 and 1991, and was NRK's main commentator for speed skating most of those years, together with fellow NRK veteran journalist Per Jorsett. He also hosted the popular Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation game show Kvitt eller dobbelt ("Double or Nothing") for many years. In 1991, Bjørnsen left the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, and began working for cable channel TV3, where he hosted the game show Lykkehjulet (a Norwegian adaptation of Wheel of Fortune).In his later years, he spoke out as a supporter of the Progress Party, having lost his confidence in the Conservative Party.In April 2008, Bjørnsen was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, and he died from the illness seven months later, on 14 November 2008.

Clément Joseph Marie Raymond Guillon (27 April 1932 – 9 July 2010) was the Roman Catholic bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Quimper, France.
Ordained to the priesthood on 5 May 1957, Guillon was made coadjutor bishop of the Quimper Diocese on 17 March 1988 and was ordained bishop on 10 April 1988. He became the diocesan bishop on 3 May 1989, retiring on 7 December 2007.
