Åse Gruda Skard (née Koht) (2 December 1905 – 13 August 1985) was a Norwegian university professor, child psychologist and author. She was a noted pioneer in the field of childhood development and psychology.

Per Engebret Stockfleth Enger (24 February 1929 – 19 November 2018) was a Norwegian zoophysiologist.
He was born in Oslo as a son of painter Erling Enger (1899–1990) and office clerk Aud Stockfleth (1899–1987). He took the dr.philos. degree in 1963 on the thesis Single unit activity in the fish auditory system. He was hired at the University of Oslo in 1956, and served as a professor of zoophysiology from 1975 to 1994. He is a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

Christian Fredrik Borchgrevink (born 1 September 1924) is a Norwegian medical doctor, a pioneer of bringing the subjects of family medicine and public health into an academic discipline in Norway.

Johan Vilhelm Aubert (7 June 1922 – 19 July 1988) was an influential Norwegian sociologist. He was a professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo from 1963 to 1971 and at the Department of Sociology from 1971 to 1988. He co-founded the Norwegian Institute for Social Research already in 1950, and has been labelled the "father of Norwegian sociology". In his early life he was a member of the anti-Nazi resistance group XU, and while later involved on the radical wing of the Labour Party, he edited the newspaper Orientering.

Rolf Yngvar Berg (2 December 1925 – 25 August 2018) was a Norwegian botanist.
He was born in Oslo. He took the dr.philos. degree 1962 on the work Studies in Liliaceae, tribe Parideae. He was a curator at the Botanical Museum of Oslo from 1956 to 1962, professor of botany at the University of California, Davis from 1962 to 1965 and at the University of Oslo from 1965 to 1994. He has been a corresponding fellow of the American Botanical Society from 2003, and a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He died at the age of 92.

Anne-Lisa Amadou (4 March 1930 – 19 March 2002) was a Norwegian literary researcher.
She was born in Oslo. In 1966 she took her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree with a thesis on Marcel Proust.
She was a Professor of French literature at the University of Oslo from 1970 to 1982. In 1981 she was awarded the Bastian Prize for her translation of In Search of Lost Time. (French: A la recherche du temps perdu) and, in 1984, the Fritt Ord Honorary Award.

Ercilia Pepín (December 7, 1886 – June 14, 1939) was a teacher, feminist, and equal rights activist in the Dominican Republic. She dedicated herself to the welfare and preservation of the Dominican nation through education.

Marie Jaëll (née Trautmann) (17 August 1846 – 4 February 1925) was a French pianist, composer, and pedagogue. Marie Jaëll composed pieces for piano, concertos, quartets, and others, She dedicated her cello concerto to Jules Delsart, and was the first pianist to perform all the piano sonatas of Beethoven in Paris. She did scientific studies of hand techniques in piano playing and attempted to replace traditional drilling with systematic piano methods. Her students included Albert Schweitzer, who studied with her while also studying organ with Charles-Marie Widor in 1898–99. She died in Paris.
