Franco Amurri (born 12 September 1958) is an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter, best known for directing films such as Da grande, which inspired the Tom Hanks film Big, Monkey Trouble and Flashback.His father was the author and television writer Antonio Amurri. He has a daughter, Eva Amurri, with actress Susan Sarandon. He is married to Heide Lund, a sometime actress and producer with whom he has two children: son Leone and daughter Augusta. He also has two stepdaughters, Tallulah and Ruby, from Lund's previous marriage to Lord Antony Rufus Isaacs, son of Margot Rufus Isaacs, Marchioness of Reading.

John Douglas Story (7 August 1869 in Edinburgh, Scotland – 2 February 1966 in Brisbane, Australia) was a public servant in Queensland, Australia.
Also known as J. D. Story, he migrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, with his parents, as a child, and attended Brisbane Grammar School and Brisbane Technical College.

Story was a prominent Queensland public servant who entered the Queensland Public Service and was Under-Secretary for the Department of Education between 1906 and 1920. He was the Public Service Commissioner from 1920 to 1939 and served on the Public Service Superannuation Board from 1913 until 1942. He was a long-time member of the Stanley River Works Board which was instrumental in the construction of Somerset Dam.Story worked for the establishment of the University of Queensland and was a government representative on the University senate. He became UQ's first full-time Vice-Chancellor, serving in an honorary capacity from 1938 to 1959.The J. D. Story Administration Building at the University of Queensland and Brisbane's Story Bridge were named in his honour. In February 2009 his grandson, John Story, became the 13th Chancellor of the University of Queensland.

Thorburn Brailsford Robertson (4 March 1884 – 18 January 1930), generally known as Brailsford Robertson, was an Australian physiologist and biochemist.

Paul Robson is a retired Scottish National Hunt jockey. He was born in Hawick and was based in Penrith riding first for trainer Jonjo O'Neill and later Nicky Richards. Robson had career total of 89 wins from over 600 rides between 2001–2005 including 29 in one of his early seasons. In 2005, at the age of 22, Robson sustained serious injuries which forced him into early retirement from racing.

Peter Niven (b. 7 Aug 1964) is a retired British jump jockey in National Hunt racing. In May 2001 he became the first Scotsman and sixth jockey to ride over 1,000 winners, eventually retiring in September that year with 1002 winners. At the time of his retirement he was the only jockey to have won five races in a day on four occasions. He is now a racehorse trainer.
