Noel Abner Brown (March 21, 1926 - April 11, 2021) was an American tennis player in the mid-20th century. He was born in Stamford, Texas.Brown was captain of the University of California at Los Angeles tennis team in 1946.
He won singles titles at two of the world's oldest and most prestigious tennis events: in 1952 at Cincinnati and in 1956 at Canada. The latter event was held on grass in Vancouver, where he defeated the top two Canadian players, Bob Bédard and Don Fontana in the semifinal and final respectively. He also won the doubles title at Canada in 1956.
Brown was ranked in the U.S. Top Ten three times: in 1952 (No. 9), 1953 (No. 9) and 1959 (No. 8).

Malcolm Katzenstein Brachman (December 9, 1926 – January 11, 2005) was an American bridge player who won a world championship.Brachman was born in Fort Worth, Texas.Brachman was married to Minda Delugach Brachman, a high-ranking player in the ACBL who won its annual mixed teams championship (Master Mixed Teams) in 1968 playing with Helen Sobel Smith, Oswald Jacoby, and Jim Jacoby. She died on March 19, 2003.He graduated from Yale University (BA) and Harvard University (Ph.D. physics), and later instructed at the University of Chicago and Southern Methodist University.

Ruby Kless Sondock (born April 26, 1926) is a former Associate Justice of the Texas Supreme Court. She was the first woman to serve on the Texas Supreme Court.
Sondock initially attended the University of Houston Law Center in order to become a legal secretary, but she was admitted to the state bar a year before her graduation as valedictorian of her class (1962). Sondock was appointed to the Harris County Domestic Relations Court No. 5 in 1973 and to the 234th District Court in 1977. Sondock was the first woman to be appointed as a State District Judge in Harris County, Texas.
Sondock was appointed to the Texas Supreme Court following the death of Associate Justice James G. Denton on June 10, 1982. Sondock served from June 25 to December 31 of that year, completing Denton's term. Sondock declined to seek election to the Supreme Court and instead ran successfully for reelection to her District Court seat the following year. Sondock was the court's first female justice, with the exception of a special all-woman court convened in 1925 to hear a single case. Sondock formed part of the majority of the Texas Supreme Court in the landmark case of Helicopteros Nacionales de Colombia, S. A. v. Hall.
A distinguished legal mind, Sondock has received a number of accolades, including an annual lecture series on legal ethics. Former speakers at the Sondock Lecture on Legal Ethics at the University of Houston Law Center include U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch and Helen Thomas. On November 11, 2015, the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas inducted Sondock as a "Texas Legal Legend."

James Earl Mankins Sr. (February 9, 1926 – August 20, 2013) was an American businessman and politician.
Born in Electra, Texas, Mankins served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. Mankins owned a trucking business in Kilgore, Texas. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1975 to 1985 as a Democrat. Mankins was defeated by Michael W. Martin in the 1980 election cycle. After Martin resigned the District 13 seat, Mankins won a special election to return to the state house. Mankins died in Longview, Texas.Mankins's son and namesake was indicted in 1995, after an investigation into the Kentucky Fried Chicken murders. Charges against Mankins Jr. were dismissed after DNA evidence failed to show that Mankins Jr. was involved in the crime. By a 2003 court order, his indictment was expunged from non-investigatory records of the KFC murders case, although Mankins Jr. remained imprisoned at the time on separate drug charges.

Sally Walsh (April 1, 1926 – January 12, 1992) was an American interior designer best known for her work in the Houston area in the "contemporary" style of the period. She is credited for "convincing Houston’s corporations and institutions to embrace modernity through the sheer force of her personality and the power of her design". She was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1986. Walsh was Partner in Charge at S. I. Morris Associates from 1971 to 1978.

Aaron Robert Schwartz, better known as A. R. Schwartz or "Babe" Schwartz (July 17, 1926 – August 10, 2018), was an American politician, lawyer, and lobbyist who served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1955 to 1959 and in the Texas Senate from 1960 to 1981, representing his native Galveston, Texas. He was known for being a liberal "yellow-dog" Democrat.

Stanley Ernest Hollmig (January 2, 1926 – December 4, 1981) was an American professional baseball player and scout. Born in Fredericksburg, Texas, he was an outfielder who played in 94 games over all or parts of three seasons (1949–51) in Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies.Nicknamed "Hondo", Hollmig was listed as 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and 190 pounds (86 kg); he threw and batted right-handed. He signed with the Phillies after attending Texas A&M University, where he was an All-Conference football player.
