Georges Guibourg (June 3, 1891 – January 8, 1970) was a French singer, author, writer, playwright, and actor, George Guibourg, alias Georgius, alias Theodore Crapulet, was one of the most popular and versatile performers in Paris for more than 50 years.
Guibourg was born at Mantes-la-Ville, Yvelines, France. He began studying the piano at the age of 11 and at age 16 went to Paris where he performed on stage, singing extracts of traditional operettas and lovesongs. Over the next few years he performed his lovesongs at various concert halls and cabarets and appeared in a musical comedy in Montparnasse.
In the 1920s and 1930s, he became one of the most popular singers of Paris, putting together his own comedy troop, performing at the Moulin Rouge, Bobino, Alhambra Club and the Casino de Paris.
In 1932, he appeared in a motion picture with the comedian Fernandel, and between then and the 1950s he appeared in six films as well as serving as the artistic director of three different theatres. He also wrote a play and several detective novels.
He died at Bazoches-sur-Guyonne, Yvelines, Île-de-France, the author of more than 1,500 songs.

Werna Julie Gerhardsen, née Koren Christie (6 August 1912 – 11 January 1970) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party, best known as the wife of Prime Minister Einar Gerhardsen.
Gerhardsen was born in 1912 to Johan Werner Koren Christie (1879–1918) and Klara Rønning (1889–1967). She married Einar Gerhardsen in October 1932. They had a son Rune Gerhardsen and granddaughter Mina Gerhardsen.
She is a sister-in-law of Rolf Gerhardsen.
She was a member of Oslo school board, and Oslo city council from 1947. She was also a board member of the Norwegian National Opera and the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre, a supervisory council member of the National Theatre and a council member of Oslo Nye Teater.Gerhardsen allegedly cooperated with Soviet Union for much of her husbands time in office as the Prime Minister. According to a retired KGB officer, she passed on NATO and other secrets to the KGB.

Julio Torri Maynes (June 27, 1889 in Saltillo, Coahuila – May 11, 1970 in Mexico City) was a Mexican writer and teacher who formed part of the Ateneo de la Juventud (1909–1914). He wrote mainly in the essay form, although his limited production included short stories and scholarly works as well. Considered one of the best prose stylists of Latin America, he was admitted to the Academia Mexicana de la Lengua in 1952.
His parents were Julio S. Torri and Sofía Maynes de Torri.

Sir Walter Logie Forbes Murdoch, (17 September 1874 – 30 July 1970) was a prominent Australian academic and essayist famous for his intelligence and wit. He was a founding professor of English and former Chancellor of the University of Western Australia (UWA) in Perth, Western Australia.
A member of the prominent Australian Murdoch family, he was the father of Catherine, later prominent as Dr Catherine King (1904–2000), a radio broadcaster in Western Australia; the uncle of both Sir Keith, a journalist and newspaper executive, and Ivon, a soldier in the Australian Army; and the great uncle of international media proprietor Rupert Murdoch.
Murdoch University is named in Sir Walter's honour; as is Murdoch, the suburb surrounding its main campus, located in Perth, Western Australia.

Theophanis Lamboukas (Greek: Θεοφάνης Λαμπουκάς, 26 January 1936 – 28 August 1970), professionally known as Théo Sarapo, was a French singer and actor, the second husband of Édith Piaf. Formerly a hairdresser, he was 26 years old when he married the 46-year-old Piaf. He was introduced to her by Claude Figus, Piaf's secretary.

Laurent Eynac (4 October 1886 – 16 December 1970) was a French politician who was appointed Minister of Transportation on 7 June 1935 until 24 January 1936. He was born in Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille, Haute-Loire.
In 1940 Eynac was appointed Minister of the Air in the government of Paul Reynaud. In this role he served as part of the War Committee put together at early in the Second World War and consisting of Reynaud, President Albert François Lebrun, Naval Minister César Campinchi, War Minister Édouard Daladier, Interior Minister Georges Mandel, Eynac as Air Minister, French Navy chief Admiral François Darlan, Chief of the Air Staff General Joseph Vuillemin and French Army generals Maurice Gamelin and Alphonse Joseph Georges.

Alessandro De Stefani (1 January 1891 – 13 May 1970) was an Italian screenwriter. He wrote for 90 films between 1918 and 1962.
