Richard Giles Douglas (4 January 1932 – 3 May 2014) was a Scottish politician who was a Member of Parliament (MP) elected as a Labour Co-operative candidate, but who subsequently joined the Scottish National Party (SNP).

Sir Robert Arthur McCrindle (19 September 1929 – 8 October 1998) was a Scottish Conservative politician. He was Member of Parliament for Billericay from 1970 to 1974 and Brentwood and Ongar from 1974 to 1992 (following boundary changes).

James Alexander Lamond (29 November 1928 – 20 November 2007) was a British Labour Member of Parliament who represented Oldham East from 1970 to 1983 and then Oldham Central and Royton from 1983 until he retired at the 1992 general election.

David Lambie (13 July 1925 – 15 December 2019) was a Scottish Labour Party politician.
Lambie was educated at Ardrossan Academy and at the University of Glasgow and Geneva University. He became a teacher and was chairman of the Scottish Labour Party from 1965 to 1966.
Lambie contested North Ayrshire and Bute in 1955, 1959, 1964 and 1966. He was Member of Parliament for Central Ayrshire from 1970 until 1983, and after the boundary changes of that year, for Cunninghame South from 1983 until his retirement in 1992.
On 13 July 2015 Lambie celebrated his 90th birthday.
