German composers

Franz Doelle (9 November 1883 – 15 March 1965) was a German composer. He worked on around fifty film scores during his career many of them operetta films.

Carl Beines (15 December 1869 in Rheydt, a borough of Mönchengladbach – 7 October 1950 in Bad Wörishofen) was a German violinist, who for ten years led the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne, as well as a pianist, composer, choir director and singing teacher. His most famous pupils were the tenors Richard Tauber and Herbert Ernst Groh, and the baritones Joseph Hermann and Gotthelf Pistor. Tauber trained with him between 1911 and 1913 in Freiburg im Breisgau, where Beines directed the Concordia Choir. It was at one of their concerts on 17 May 1912 that Tauber made his debut. Later Beines lived and taught in Darmstadt, and finally in Bad Wörishofen, where he died.

Paul Gerhard Natorp (24 January 1854 – 17 August 1924) was a German philosopher and educationalist, considered one of the co-founders of the Marburg school of neo-Kantianism. He was known as an authority on Plato.

Gunter Gabriel (born Günter Caspelherr; 11 June 1942 – 22 June 2017) was a German singer, musician and composer.
Gabriel became famous in Germany as singer of Schlager songs. Gabriel lived in Harburg, Hamburg. He was a friend of Johnny Cash and introduced American Country music to German audiences, even covering some of Cash's songs in German.Gabriel was married four times and had four children. He fell down a flight of stairs a couple of days before his death and died of complications that occurred after multiple surgeries to fix his broken neck.
