20th-century Spanish poets

Anna Maria Martínez Sagi (16 February 1907 – 2 January 2000) was a Spanish poet, trade unionist, journalist, feminist and athlete. She was national champion in the javelin and became the first female director of a Spanish football club. During the Spanish Civil War she followed the Durruti Column as a journalist and was then exiled to France, living in different places. During World War II she joined the French Resistance and evaded capture by the Gestapo. Afterwards she worked for the Aga Khan and then moved to the United States where she taught at the University of Illinois. After the death of Francisco Franco, she returned to Catalonia where she lived in obscurity near to Barcelona.

Ernestina de Champourcín Morán de Loredo (10 July 1905 in Vitoria-Gasteiz – 27 March 1999 in Madrid) was a Spanish poet. She is most associated with the Generation of '27.

Julio Llamazares (born March 28, 1955) is a Spanish author born in Vegamián, León Province.

Pedro Salinas y Serrano (27 November 1891 – 4 December 1951) was a Spanish poet, a member of the Generation of '27, as well as a university teacher, scholar and literary critic. In 1937, he delivered the Turnbull lectures at Johns Hopkins University. These were later published under the title Reality and the Poet in Spanish Poetry.

Juan Chabás (September 10, 1900, Dénia – October 29, 1954) was a Spanish-born poet and writer. He was a member of the influential group of writers known as the Generation of '27. He fled to exile in Cuba following the Spanish Civil War.
In 1938, he met French journalist Simone Téry, whom he married in 1938. : 113  They would later divorce.
Juan Chabás died of a heart attack at age 44 in Santiago de Cuba and is buried in the Colon Cemetery, Havana.

Luis Rosales Camacho (31 May 1910 – 24 October 1992) was a Spanish poet and essay writer member of the Generation of '36.
He was born in Granada (Spain). He became a member of the Hispanic Society of America and the Royal Spanish Academy in 1962. Rosales obtained the Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 1982 for his literary work. He died in Madrid in 1992, aged 82.
