Marie-Laure Augry (born 27 February 1947 in Tours) is a French journalist. She is a member of the Club des médiateurs de la presse ((in French) "Press mediators' club").

Philippe Duron (born 19 June 1947) is a French politician. He was the mayor of Caen between 2008 and 2014 and deputy for Calvados's 1st constituency.
Philippe Duron received a degree in history in 1975 and was a teacher in Lisieux and the Lycée Augustin-Fresnel in Caen until 1997. His political models are Pierre Mendès France and François Mitterrand. As first secretary of the Socialist Party in Calvados, he has been successful in uniting the parties on the left in all of Lower Normandy.
He was elected president of the regional council of Lower Normandy on March 28, 2004, the first member of France's Socialist Party to be elected to this office. He defeated the incumbent for 18 years, René Garrec.
Philippe Duron has also been the mayor of Louvigny (Calvados), and was elected mayor of Caen on 16 March 2008.
He served as deputy to the National Assembly from 1997 to 2001, and again from 2007 to 2017.
Due to the limits on the number of elected positions that can be held simultaneously in France, he stepped down from the regional presidency on 3 April 2008.

Jean-Paul Bachy (born March 30, 1947 in Charleville-Mézières, Ardennes) is a French politician and the incumbent President of the Regional Council of Champagne-Ardenne. He is a member of the Socialist Party.
Bachy served as Member of the European Parliament (1983–1988), deputy for the Ardennes (1988–1993) and Mayor of Sedan (1995–2004). He has been a regional councillor since 1986, and was the PS' top candidate in the region in the 2004 French regional elections. He narrowly defeated UMP incumbent Jean-Claude Etienne and became President of the Regional Council. He was excluded from the PS after running against an official PS candidate in the 2007 French legislative election.
Since he is not a member of the PS, he could not run in the party's primaries for the 2010 regional elections but Jacques Meyer, a supporter of Bachy won the primaries and intends to give Bachy the leadership of the PS list in the region.

Alain Lipietz (born September 19, 1947 as Alain Guy Lipiec) is a French engineer, economist and politician, a former Member of the European Parliament, and a member of the French Green Party. He has, however, been suspended from the party since 25 March 2014 and is an elected local politician in Val de Bièvre, Paris, France.

Anne-Marie Comparini (born 11 July 1947 in Orange, Vaucluse) is a French politician. She is a former Member of Parliament and a former President of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council.

Jacqueline Fraysse-Cazalis (born 25 February 1947, in Paris) is a French cardiologist and politician. A member of the French Communist Party, she served in the National Assembly of France, from 1978 to 1986, as a Senator from 1986 to 1997, and in the National Assembly again from 1997 to 2017, as a member of the French Communist Party, in the Gauche démocrate et républicaine parliamentary group.Fraysse has also served in various capacities for the town of Nanterre, whose mayor she was from 1988 until 2004.In her capacity as mayor, Fraysse was overseeing a meeting of the Nanterre municipal council on 26 March 2002 when Richard Durn opened fire on the group, killing eight and wounding nineteen.

Hubert Falco (born 15 May 1947 in Pignans, Var) is a French politician who has been appointed Secretary of State for development of the territory in the government of François Fillon on 18 March 2008. He was the mayor of Toulon from 2001 to 2023.

Christian Vanneste (born 14 July 1947) is a French politician. He served two terms as a deputy in the French Parliament (2002-2012), representing the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP).

Patrice de Plunkett (born 9 January 1947 in Paris) is a French journalist and essayist who specializes in analyzing social issues. He was the editor of Le Figaro Magazine, one of the major French weekly magazines. After leaving this magazine in 1997, he has written a number of books.
In 1983, he received the Renaissance Award for Letters from the Le Cercle Renaissance. [1] He also received the Award of History of Institutions and of Social Events from the Faculty of Law of the University of Paris.
