Italian male child actors

David Louis Leland (6 January 1932 in Alassio, Italy – 7 November 1948 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was an Italian-born American child actor who appeared in several Hollywood films in the 1940s.
His father Louis Leland (1879-1963) was born in Rome to an American father and Italian mother; his mother Helena Leland (1901/02-1989) was born in London.
He moved to the US in the early 1940s and appeared in several films, notably alongside Laurel and Hardy in one of their later efforts, Nothing But Trouble.
He died aged sixteen while suffering from sepsis.

Enzo Staiola (born 15 November 1939) is an Italian actor best known for playing, at the age of nine, the role of Bruno Ricci in Vittorio De Sica's neorealist 1948 film Bicycle Thieves. He appeared in several other films including, in 1954, the American-produced The Barefoot Contessa with Humphrey Bogart. As an adult he became a mathematics teacher.

Ermanno Roveri (5 October 1903 – 28 December 1968) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 39 films between 1912 and 1965.

Corrado Pani (4 March 1936 – 2 March 2005) was an Italian actor and voice actor.

Franco Gasparri (31 October 1948 – 28 March 1999) was an Italian actor.
Born Gianfranco Gasparri in Senigallia, the son of the painter and film poster artist Rodolfo, Gasparri started his career as a child actor, appearing in several peplum films.
After military service as a paratrooper, in 1970 he became one of the most successful actors in fotoromanzi. In 1975 Gasparri got a large notoriety playing the inspector Mark Terzi in Mark of the Cop, a successful poliziottesco which generated two sequels, Mark Shoots First and Mark Strikes Again, still with Gasparri in the title role. A skilled and experienced rider, due to a near-fatal motorcycle accident he was forced in a wheelchair, giving up his promising career. He died at 50 years old from respiratory failure.

Salvatore Cascio (born 8 November 1979) is an Italian actor. His most famous performance was in Cinema Paradiso (1988), for which he received critical acclaim and a BAFTA Award. He suffers from retinitis pigmentosa. He is Roman Catholic.

Franco Interlenghi (29 October 1931 – 10 September 2015) was an Italian actor.
He made his acting debut at 15 in Vittorio De Sica's 1946 Neorealist film Sciuscià. He worked with great directors such as Alessandro Blasetti in Fabiola, Roberto Rossellini in Viva l'Italia! and Il generale della Rovere, Federico Fellini in I vitelloni, Michelangelo Antonioni in I vinti, Mauro Bolognini in La notte brava and Luchino Visconti in his stage adaptation of Death of a Salesman. He also appeared in international films, such as Joseph L. Mankiewicz's The Barefoot Contessa, Julien Duvivier's Le petit monde de don Camillo, Charles Vidor's A Farewell to Arms and the Italian-American co-production Ulysses, directed by Mario Camerini.
With his wife, Antonella Lualdi, he had two children, one of whom is actress Antonellina Interlenghi. Franco Interlenghi died on 10 September 2015, aged 83.
