Jacques Ladègaillerie (born 10 January 1940) is a French fencer. He won a gold medal in the individual épée event at the 1967 Mediterranean Games and a silver medal in the individual épée event at the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Henri Plagnol (born February 11, 1961, in Paris) is a French politician who has served on the National Assembly. He represented the Val-de-Marne department, from 1997 to 2002, and again from 2007 to 2012. Throughout his legislature tenure, Plagnol has been affiliated with the Union for French Democracy, the Union for a Popular Movement and the Union of Democrats and Independents.Plagnol served as deputy mayor of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés from 1997, and contested the office in 2008, after Jean-Louis Beaumont chose not to run for reelection. Plagnol remained mayor until 2014, when he lost reelection to Sylvain Berrios.

François Loos (born 24 December 1953) was appointed Minister Delegate for Industry on 2 June 2005, following a term as Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade (June 2002 to May 2005). He was Minister Delegate for Higher Education & Research in the first Raffarin government.
François Loos is a graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique, the prestigious state-run industrial and engineering school and has an engineering diploma from the Ecole des Mines. He also holds a postgraduate diploma (diplôme d'études approfondies – DEA) in mathematics.
After starting his career as an engineer with various firms in France and Germany, François Loos became a technical advisor to Pierre Pflimlin, President of the European Parliament (1984), and subsequently to Hubert Curien, French Minister of Research & Technology (1984–1985). He next joined Rhône Poulenc as Managing Director of the Thann plant, which he ran for two years before being appointed Executive Secretary for Research (1987–1989). From 1990 to 1993, he was Chief Executive of the Lohr SA group.
In 1992 François Loos was elected Conseiller Régional (regional government representative) for the Alsace region and deputy of the Bas-Rhin département in 1993. He has been Vice-Chairman of the Conseil Régional (regional government) of Alsace since 1996. He was re-elected as a deputy in 1997 and again on 9 June 2002 (after the first election round). He chaired the Parliamentary Board of Enquiry into Industrial Hazards in France following the Toulouse disaster in 2001.
In 1994 and 1995 he was the Deputy General Secretary of the Parti Radical Valoisien, a centre-right political party. He was then promoted to National Secretary and in 1997 to National Delegate for International Affairs, followed by a term as party chairman from 1999 to October 2003. He is a founding member and a member of the political bureau of the Union for a Popular Movement, a right-wing political party.

Alain Lambert (French pronunciation: [alɛ̃ lɑ̃bɛʁ]; born 20 July 1946 in Alençon) is a French politician and a notary by profession.
Lambert has been involved in politics since 1983 and has served as a local councillor in Alençon and a councillor on both the department council of Orne (1992–2002) and the regional council of Lower Normandy. Between 7 May 2002 and 30 March 2004 he was France's Finance Minister. In 2009 he attempted to be chosen to head the centre right wing UMP list for the 2010 regional elections and was successful, gaining 54.5% of the votes of party members. However, Lambert was later forced to announce he would not stand, due to disagreements within the party over his candidature.
Ahead of the 2012 presidential election, Lambert endorsed François Bayrou's candidacy as President of France.

Charles- Amédée de Courson (born 2 April 1952 in Paris - 16th arrondissement) is a member of the National Assembly of France a former member of the Auditors Court and a former 'rapporteur', and current secretary of its Finance Commission. He represents the 5th district of the Marne department in the National Assembly, and is a member of the Union of Democrats and Independents as part of the Centrists.
Amongst his many interventions, he has opposed same-sex marriage, and has denounced the "illusion of security at airports". In 2023, he led a vote of no confidence against the Government of Élisabeth Borne over proposals to raise the state pension age by executive decree.Through his mother, De Courson is a grandson of the politician and Resistance hero Léonel de Moustier, and a descendant of Louis-Michel le Peletier, marquis de Saint-Fargeau.

Thierry Cornillet (born 23 July 1951 in Montélimar, Drôme) is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament for the south-east of France. He is a member of the Union for French Democracy, which is part of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Development. He was president of the center-right Parti radical valoisien from 1997 to 1999.
He is a substitute for the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, a substitute for the Subcommittee on Human Rights, vice-chair of the delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, and a member of the delegation to the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly.

Louis Joachim Marie François Giscard d'Estaing (born 20 October 1958) is a French politician and former member of the National Assembly of France. He is the son of the late President of France Valéry Giscard d'Estaing (1926–2020) and Anne-Aymone Giscard d'Estaing (née Sauvage de Brantes). He was a deputy for the Puy-de-Dôme department from 2002, when he held his father's old seat on his retirement, until 2012 when he was defeated by the Green candidate Danielle Auroi. He remains mayor of Chamalières, a post he has held since 2005. His father had also been mayor of Chamalières from 1967 to 1974.
He was married to musicologist Nawal-Alexandra Ebeid (1959–2011) from 1996 until her death in 2011. She was born in Pasadena, California in 1959 and was a graduate of George Washington University. The couple had one son, Pierre-Louis Giscard d'Estaing. He remarried to Claire Labic in 2016.

François Sauvadet (born 20 April 1953) is a French journalist and politician of the Union of Democrats and Independents (UDI) who has been serving as the president of the Côte-d'Or department in eastern France since 2008.

Michel Mercier (born 7 March 1947) is a French politician and who served as Minister of Justice from 2010 until 2012.
After studying law and graduating from Jean Moulin University Law school and the Lyon IEP, he taught finance and local government law at the Faculty of Law of Lyon III.
Elected Senator from the Rhône on 24 September 1995, he was the right's official candidate in the municipal elections in 2001 in Lyon, incumbent Mayor Raymond Barre having refused to run for re-election. Arriving behind the right-wing dissident list supported by Charles Millon in his sector, the 5th arrondissement of Lyon, he decided to withdraw in favor of Jean-Michel Dubernard, who established an alliance with Charles Millon. The Socialist Gérard Collomb was elected Mayor of Lyon.
He was re-elected Senator on 26 September 2004. General councillor for the canton of Thizy, he is also President of the General Council of Rhône since February 1990. Treasurer of the UDF, he remained loyal to the opposition of François Bayrou vis-à-vis the government of Dominique de Villepin.
President of the Centrist Union Senate group since 2002, he remained faithful to François Bayrou by joining the MoDem. On 30 January 2008, Michel Mercier, by favouring an alliance with the UMP in Lyon, whose list was led by Dominique Perben for the 2008 municipal elections signaled his disagreement with the strategy of François Bayrou by resigning the presidency of the MoDem in Rhône. He remained MoDem treasurer and member of the executive board of the MoDem until his appointment to the government.
On 23 June 2009, he joined the government of François Fillon as Minister of Rural Areas and Spatial Planning. He announced his hiatus from the MoDem and was replaced as treasurer by Jean-Jacques Jégou.
From 14 November 2010 he is Minister of justice in the 3rd government of François Fillon.
After the defeat of Nicolas Sarkozy at the 2012 Presidential election, he was replaced by Christiane Taubira. During his tenure as Minister, he was criticized for his lack of communication.

Jean-Christophe Lagarde (born 24 October 1967) is a French politician serving as president of the Union of Democrats and Independents (UDI) since 2014. He succeeded Jean-Louis Borloo after a short interim by Yves Jégo. Lagarde has been the member of the National Assembly for the fifth constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis since 2002.
