Tom Mathisen (born 14 August 1952) is a Norwegian comedian, actor, screenwriter and musician. He usually handles bass, guitar and vocals. He was in the comedy group Prima Vera from 1976 to 1983 along with Jahn Teigen and Herodes Falsk. Later he continued to work with Herodes Falsk on many TV shows and records. He is also known as "Fortelleren" (The Narrator) in the Brødrene Dal series.
Sven Audun Nordin (born 6 February 1957) is a Norwegian actor. He was hired by Oslo Nye Teater in the autumn of 1981 and had his debut in the play "Vikinger" by Johan Borgen. He is best known for his roles as Nils in the situation comedy Mot i brøstet and Kjell Bjarne in the Academy Award–nominated film Elling.
Øivind Blunck (28 December 1950) is a Norwegian comedian and actor.He is best known for his numerous performances with the Norwegian Theatre, and for playing the eccentric, moped-driving ladies' man "Fridtjof", living in Enebakk. Another memorable character is Reidar, a teen growing up in the late 1980s heavily fascinated by British pop culture such as Sky Channel, Pat Sharp and Samantha Fox. Blunck also originated the part of Thénardier in the Norwegian version of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's musical Les Misérables in 1988 in Oslo. His performance of the character's only solo in the musical - "Dog Eats Dog" is featured in the Stage by Stage documentary accompanying the DVD versions of the musical. He has also reappeared several times in Olsenbanden as "Holm", the aide of superintendent "Hermansen", played by Sverre Wilberg.
Blunck was married to actress Guri Schanke. They lived in Oslo.
Dag Hareide (born 24 February 1949) is an organizational leader and author. He was knighted in the First Order of St. Olav by the King of Norway in 2015 for exceptional engagement in social innovation in civil society. He has been director of Rainforest Foundation Norway (2012–2015), one of the largest rainforest organizations in the world, Director of Nansen Academy Norway, the Norwegian Humanistic Academy which included the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue (2006–2012) and of other folk high schools, Chair of Nordic Forum for Mediation and Conflict Management (2002–2006) which gathered conflict mediators from the five Nordic countries. Curriculum developer in conflict management at the Norwegian Police University College, General Secretary of Oslo City Mission, a comprehensive diaconical institution, Chair of the Namibia Association of Norway, which was a leading NGO in Europe in support for SWAPO, the liberation movement for Namibia. Rehabilitation Coordinator for United Nations Emergency Office during the famine in Ethiopia (1985–1988) and returned later to coordinate and write the first five-year National Disaster Preparedness Plan in Ethiopia for the Ethiopian Government (1996–1998) General secretary of Friends of the Earth Norway, the largest environmental organization in Norway (1990–1995). He has also workes as journalist, pastor, teacher at high schools and University Colleges, initiated several campaigns and associations working for solidarity, dialogue and protection of the environment. He was member of the National Sustainability commission which had the prime minister, four other ministers and the leaders of employers and employees organisations as member. Hareide represented the environmental movemenet. He served as vice chair of the National Value Commission (Verdikommisjonen) which was formed by the Norwegian Prime Minister, and member of the Commission that formulated the objectives for the Norwegian School system (Bostadutvalget) https://www.gd.no/nyheter/lager-ny-formalsparagraf-i-skolen/s/1-934610-…. He chaired the first official dialogue between all faith and life stand communities in Norway. He has a Doctorate in Sociology (Magistergrad) from University of Oslo on the topic of vulnerability and preparedness in famine, and studies in religion, intellectual history, mass media, agriculture and statistics from different Universities and University Colleges in US and Norway.
Anders Heger (born 10 July 1956) is a Norwegian publisher and writer, and is one of the six children of Wanda Hjort Heger and Bjørn Heger.
In 1982, Heger started Radio Nova, the first student radio in Norway. In 1985, he wrote a book about the juridical process against the Norwegian writer Agnar Mykle, and in 1999 wrote Et diktet liv, a biography about Agnar Mykle, which received the Brage Prize (comparable in Norway to a Pulitzer Prize). Heger's grandfather, Johan Bernhard Hjort, was Mykle's defense attorney.
Heger became director of the Norwegian publishing company Cappelen (owned by the Swedish mediahouse Bonnier) in 1991. Heger is described in the media as "the most powerful man in the bookpublishing industry in Norway".His interests include cross-country skiing.
Jon Deak (born April 27, 1943) is an American composer, contrabassist and education specialist. He is a former Associate Principal Bassist of the New York Philharmonic, a position he held from 1973 to 2009 after joining the Philharmonic in 1969 under Leonard Bernstein, and a prominent contemporary composer of orchestral and chamber works. He currently serves as the Young Composers Advocate of the New York Philharmonic, where he founded the award-winning Very Young Composers Program in 1995.
Tom Egeland (born 8 July 1959 in Oslo) is a Norwegian author. His great-grandfather was Jon Flatabø from Kvam in Hardanger, one of the pioneer authors of popular literature in Norway. Egeland's novels are published in Norwegian and translated into 25 languages. His most famous novel is Sirkelens ende (Circle's End), published in English with the title Relic, which deals with several of the same topics as The Da Vinci Code. Egeland's book was published in 2001, two years before The Da Vinci Code.
European readers and critics quickly noted some striking similarities between the Da Vinci Code and Circle's End. Like The Da Vinci Code, Circle's End involves an ancient mystery and a worldwide conspiracy, the discovery that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, and an albino as one of the main characters. In both novels, the main female character is revealed to be the last living descendant of Christ and Mary Magdalene, and the daughter/granddaughter of the last grandmaster of a secret order.
Many European readers have speculated that Dan Brown had plagiarized Tom Egeland's book. Since the Norwegian novel had not yet been translated into English when The Da Vinci Code was first published, it is generally assumed now that the similarities between the two books, although striking, are coincidental.
The author himself, Tom Egeland, has been in numerous interviews in European media, and on his own website, dismissed the claim of Brown's novel plagiarizing his own novel, stating that the similarities just show that he and Brown more or less have done the same research and found the same sources.
Egeland's novel Guardians of the Covenant has been translated into 17 languages. Both Guardians of the Covenant and the 2001 bestseller Relic have been acquired by the British publishing house John Murray.
The thriller Night of the Wolf (2005) - about Chechen terrorists taking control of a live television debate show - as also been made into a feature-length movie and a television mini-series. Egeland wrote the script himself.
In 2007 Tom Egeland published two books: The Girl in the Mirror (for young adults) and Guardians of the Covenant, a thriller with the same main character as Relic: The albino archaeologist Bjørn Beltø.
Egeland's thriller The Gospel Of Lucifer was published in Norwegian in May 2009 and has been translated into 12 languages. The novel was awarded the Norwegian Riverton Prize for best crime novel 2009.According to IMDB, he was an extra in The Empire Strikes Back, portraying one of the rebel soldiers fighting in the Battle of Hoth.
During the autumn of 2016, Egeland became the topic of controversy after he was banned by Facebook for publishing the famous war photograph of "the Napalm girl" Phan Thị Kim Phúc on his personal Facebook page. Facebook eventually reconsidered its opinion concerning this picture and republished it, recognizing "the history and global importance of this image in documenting a particular moment in time".
Egeland has been president of the Norwegian Crime Writers' Association (Rivertonklubben) since 2015 and has been a board member of the Norwegian Authors' Union (Den norske Forfatterforening) since 2010. He is a book critic for the Norwegian newspaper VG (Verdens Gang).
Øystein Bache (born 23 September 1960 in Oslo) is a Norwegian comedian and actor.He has worked on many comedy programmes for NRK1 together with his partner Rune Gokstad. He is best known as the frontman on the satirical TV programme Egentlig 1993-97 and its follow-up Øystein og meg 1997-2000. Bache has long been linked with live television programmes such as the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix which he presented in 1998, 1999 and 2003. From 2003 he began to present NRK's Frokost-TV. Bache is also the presenter of the comedy programme Løvebakken which is shown on Saturdays. He also often takes part in the panel on the radio show Twenty Questions on NRK P1 and has also been the stand-in host.
He has recently worked as producer on a number of programmes shown on NRK, most recently Fridtjofs jul which was shown at Christmas.
Lars Lennart Heiberg Mjøen (born 13 November 1945) is a Norwegian comedian, actor, singer, screenwriter, director, editor and author. He is best known as a member of the comedy trio KLM, alongside Trond Kirkvaag and Knut Lystad.
