Antoinette Corisande Élisabeth, Duchess of Clermont-Tonnerre (née de Gramont; 23 April 1875 – 6 December 1954) was a French writer of the early 20th century, best known for her long-term lesbian relationship with Natalie Clifford Barney, an American writer. Élisabeth de Gramont had grown up among the highest aristocracy; when she was a child, according to Janet Flanner, "peasants on her farm... begged her not to clean her shoes before entering their houses". She looked back on this lost world of wealth and privilege with little regret, and became known as the "red duchess" for her support of socialism and feminism.She was a close friend, and sometimes critic of writer Marcel Proust, whom she first met in 1903.

Benjamin Duterde (French pronunciation: [bɛ̃ʒamɛ̃ dytɛʁd]; born 10 November 1984), better known by his stage name Ben l'Oncle Soul (French: [bɛn lɔ̃klə sul], lit. 'Ben the Soul Uncle'), is a French soul singer and songwriter. François Chérèque (1 June 1956 – 2 January 2017) was a French Trade unionist, and leader of the French trade union CFDT (French Democratic Confederation of Labour or Confédération française démocratique du travail).

Philippe Collet (born 13 December 1963 in Nancy) is a retired French pole vaulter. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 1988 and 1992, reaching the final on both occasions. In addition, he represented Europe at the World Cup three times finishing second in 1985 and 1992 and first in 1989.
His personal bests in the event are 5.85 metres outdoors (Paris 1986) and 5.94 metres indoors (Grenoble 1990).
He now coaches his two sons, Thibaut and Mathieu.

Jacques André Marie Jullien (7 May 1929 – 10 December 2012) was the Roman Catholic archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rennes, France.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1954, Jullien was named bishop in 1978 and resigned in 1998.

Théophile Archambault (19 February 1806 – 12 December 1863) was a French psychiatrist who was a native of Tours.
He studied in Angers and Paris, where he later worked under psychiatrist Jean-Étienne Dominique Esquirol (1772–1840) in an informal capacity. In 1840 he became assistant to François Leuret (1797–1851) at the Bicêtre hospital, and soon afterwards was tasked with re-organization of the Maréville asylum in Nancy. He spent seven years at Nancy, where he also gave classes on mental pathology at the school of medicine. In 1848 he succeeded Achille-Louis Foville (1799–1878) at the Charenton mental hospital.

Dominique Bussereau (French pronunciation: [dɔminik bysʁo]; born 13 July 1952) is a French politician.
He is president of the departmental council of Charente-Maritime since
2008 and president of the Assembly of the Departments of France since 2015.He was Secretary of State for Transport within the government of François Fillon. Appointed to the post on 18 May 2007, he was previously Minister of Agriculture (2004–2007), Minister-Delegate for Aviation and Maritime Affairs (2002–2004) and Minister-Delegate for Budgets (2004).
