Jack Wayne Lohrke (February 25, 1924 – April 29, 2009) was a third baseman in Major League Baseball. During his playing career, he stood 6' (183 cm) tall, weighed 180 pounds (81.7 kg) and threw and batted right-handed.

Kip Lane Young (born October 29, 1954) is a former baseball player. A right-handed pitcher, Young played Major League Baseball with the Detroit Tigers in 1978 and 1979. As a rookie in 1978, he pitched complete-game victories in his first four starts and compiled a 2.81 earned run average (ERA) for the season.
Before his professional career began, Young played college baseball at Bowling Green State University where he won 37 games to set a Mid-American Conference record.

Roman Anthony Semproch (born January 7, 1931), also known as Baby and Ray, is a retired right-handed Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1958 to 1961 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels.
He was signed by the Phillies as an amateur free agent in 1951, but he did not make his big league debut until many years later – on April 15, 1958, against the Cincinnati Reds. The year prior, he'd gone 12–4 with a 2.64 ERA for the Triple-A Miami Marlins. In his first major league game, he gave up a hit and a walk, struck out two, and earned the win in a three inning relief appearance. Overall, he went 13–11 with a 3.92 ERA in 36 big league games (30 starts) that season. Although he was leading the league in wins at mid-season, his success tapered off and he finished with a winning percentage slightly higher than .500.
Asthmatic, Semproch never lived up to his rookie season's success. In 1959, he went only 3–10 with a 5.40 ERA in 30 games (18 starts). He was traded to the Tigers on December 5, 1959 with Chico Fernandez for Ken Walters, Ted Lepcio, and minor leaguer Alex Cosmidis. In 17 relief appearances for the Tigers in 1960, he had an ERA of 4.00 and a record of 3–0. Despite that moderate success, he was traded on June 15, 1960 to the Los Angeles Dodgers with cash for Clem Labine. He would never play in a Dodgers uniform.
On November 28, 1960, he was drafted by the Washington Senators in the Rule 5 draft (he and John Gabler were the first two player acquired by the "new" Washington Senators of 1961). On April 7, 1961, the Angels purchased him from the Senators. He'd appear in only two games for the Angels, posting a 9.00 ERA. He played his final major league game on May 2, 1961.
Overall, Semproch went 19–21 with a 4.42 ERA in 85 games (48 starts). In 344 innings, he walked 136 batters and struck out 156. He hit .116 at the plate and had a .965 fielding percentage.
Following his big league career, he worked as a bar manager at his brother's Italian restaurant.

John Nolan Purdin (July 16, 1942 – March 28, 2010) was a Major League Baseball pitcher.Purdin was born in Lynx, Ohio. He was signed as an amateur free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers before the start of the 1964 season. He made his debut on September 16, 1964, throwing two innings of no-hit ball in relief against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He struck out Vern Law and Donn Clendenon. Two weeks later on September 30, he threw a two-hit shutout against the Chicago Cubs, giving up his only hits, both singles, to Dick Bertell in the 3rd and 5th inning.In the minors, Purdin threw a perfect game against Lexington in 1964. The game went seven innings, on the backend of a doubleheader. During warmups, he pegged his usual starting catcher, Butch Johnson, in the eye. Jim Connor came in from third base to replace him for the night, and Ed Knipple moved to third. Purdin struck out 11 batters in the perfect outing, with Knipple driving in the only run of the game.At Salisbury, Purdin posted a 14–3 record with a 1.91 ERA and 182 strikeouts in 137 innings pitched, while only giving up 27 walks. For the Spokane Indians in 1967 he led the Pacific Coast League in games started (31) and shutouts (6).Purdin died in Charleston, South Carolina, at the age of 67.

Gerald Eugene Fosnow (born September 21, 1940) is an American former professional baseball player, a left-handed pitcher who appeared in parts of the 1964 and 1965 seasons for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball. Fosnow batted right-handed, stood 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) tall and weighed 195 pounds (88 kg).
Originally signed by the Cleveland Indians, Fosnow pitched a no-hit game on August 20, 1959, his first professional season, in the Class D Alabama–Florida League. He was eventually acquired by the Twins' farm system and was recalled by Minnesota from the Triple-A Atlanta Crackers in the middle of the 1964 season. In seven appearances and 10+2⁄3 innings pitched, all in relief, Fosnow sported a 0–1 win–loss record and a poor 10.64 earned run average.
However, he earned a job in the 1965 Twins' bullpen coming out of spring training and won his first Major League game on Opening Day, April 12, pitching two scoreless innings against the New York Yankees in relief of Jim Kaat. The Yankees were the defending American League champions, but the 1965 Twins would go on to win the AL pennant, the first for the franchise since its relocation to the Twin Cities in 1961. Fosnow would appear in 29 games that season, and compile a 3–3 record with a 4.44 earned average in 46+2⁄3 innings. But he was sent to the Triple-A Denver Bears after his last MLB game on July 16, 1965, and did not appear on the Twins' World Series roster. He left baseball after the 1967 season.

George Edward Schmees (September 6, 1924 – October 30, 1998) was an American professional baseball player. An outfielder, he appeared in Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Browns and Boston Red Sox during the 1952 season. Listed at 6 feet (1.8 m) tall and 190 pounds (86 kg), Schmees batted and threw left-handed. He was born in Cincinnati.
In a 76-game Major League career, Schmees was a .168 hitter (21-for-125) with 17 runs, six RBI, four doubles, and one triple without home runs. He made 52 fielding appearances at center field (20), right (19), left (9) and first base (4). He also pitched two games (one start) and posted a 3.00 ERA in 6.0 innings of work and did not have a decision.
Schmees died in San Jose, California, at the age of 74.

Gregory Russell Pryor (born October 2, 1949), is an American former Major League Baseball infielder. He played all or part of ten seasons in the majors, in 1976 and 1978–1986.
He was 6'0 feet tall and weighed 185 pounds. He batted right and threw right handed.

Matthew Todd Mieske (born February 13, 1968) is an American former right fielder in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played from 1993 to 2000 for the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners, Houston Astros and Arizona Diamondbacks.
In 663 games over eight seasons, Mieske posted a .262 batting average (406-for-1547) with 225 runs, 78 doubles, 10 triples, 56 home runs, 226 RBI, 124 bases on balls, .318 on-base percentage and .434 slugging percentage. He finished his career with a .979 fielding percentage playing at all three outfield positions.

James Elmer Gantner (born January 5, 1953) is a former Major League Baseball player who spent his entire career with the Milwaukee Brewers (1976–92).
