Lucie Mannheim (30 April 1899 – 17 July 1976) was a German singer and actress.

Hans Clemens (27 July 1890 – 25 August 1958) was a German tenor who had an international career in opera and concert from the 1910s through the 1930s. He performed with several major opera houses, including the Städtische Oper in Berlin and the Metropolitan Opera. He is particularly remembered for his performances and recordings of Wagner's David in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Mime in Der Ring des Nibelungen. After retiring from the stage, he worked as a voice teacher in Los Angeles.

Gino Strada (21 April 1948 – 13 August 2021) was an Italian war surgeon, human rights activist, peace activist, and founder of Emergency, a recognized international non-governmental organization.

Joseph Bernard Reymond (3 May 1843 – 20 September 1918) was a French-born Australian politician.
He was born in Chabaud in France to farmer Etienne Bernard Reymond and Elizabeth Charriere Rond. He taught English from 1854 until 1857 before migrating to Melbourne in 1857, prospecting at Ararat, Ballarat and Chiltern. In 1862 he followed a gold rush to Forbes, where he set up a general store. He was an alderman from 1875 to 1884 and mayor from 1883 to 1884. He had married Margaret Kerr on 13 August 1861 at Wahgunyah; they had seven children. In 1895, Reymond was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Protectionist member for Ashburnham. He served until 1904, when he was defeated running as an independent. Reymond became director of Forbes Hospital in his retirement, and died at Forbes in 1918.

Lucien Godeaux (1887–1975) was a prolific Belgian mathematician. His total of more than 1000 papers and books, 669 of which are found in Mathematical Reviews, made him one of the most published mathematicians. He was the sole author of all but one of his papers.He is best remembered for work in algebraic geometry. From Liège, he was attracted to the work of the Italian school of algebraic geometry by the work of one of its masters, Federigo Enriques. Godeaux went to Bologna to study with him. The Godeaux surface is a construction of a special type, which has subsequently been much studied.
Since 2007, the Belgian Mathematical Society (BMS) is organising a "Godeaux lecture" in his memory.

Paul Frédéric Joseph Fourmarier (1877—1970) was a Belgian geologist and specialist in tectonics and stratigraphy, after whom the Fourmarierite mineral is named.Fourmarier was born in La Hulpe, Province of Brabant, Belgium and studied at the University of Liège, graduating in 1899. He became a professor of geology at the university in 1920.He won the Wollaston Medal in 1957 and the Penrose Gold Medal in 1952.
