Albert Ayguesparse (1900–1996) was a Belgian writer.

Pierre Bourgeois (4 December 1898 – 25 May 1976) was a Belgian poet. He was born in Charleroi and was the brother of the architect Victor Bourgeois. In his own words, he was a poet for the whole of his life: he published around 800 poems, and hundreds of pages are still unpublished (including a journal of 35 volumes).

Jan van Nijlen (10 November 1884 – 14 August 1965) was a Belgian writer and poet. He was born at Antwerp and died at Uccle.

Maurice Carême (French pronunciation: [mɔʁis kaʁɛm]; 12 May 1899 – 13 January 1978) was a Belgian francophone poet, best known for his simple writing style and children's poetry. His work was part of the literature event in the art competition at the 1928 Summer Olympics.

Gilles Verlant (11 June 1957 – 20 September 2013) was a Belgian journalist, best known as a music critic and rock expert. He was also Serge Gainsbourg's friend and wrote his definitive biography. He died from falling down a set of stairs.

Henry Bauchau (22 January 1913 – 21 September 2012) was a Belgian psychoanalyst, lawyer, and author of French prose and poetry.

Johan Daisne was the pseudonym of Flemish author Herman Thiery (2 September 1912 – 9 August 1978). Born in Ghent, Belgium, he attended the Koninklijk Atheneum before studying Economics and Slavic languages at Ghent University, receiving his doctorate in 1936. In 1945 he was appointed chief librarian of the city of Ghent.

Hugo Raes (26 May 1929 – 23 September 2013) was a Belgian writer and poet.
