Arnold Charles Ernest Hintjens (21 May 1949 – 23 April 2022), better known by his stage name Arno, was a Belgian singer. He was the frontman of TC Matic, one of the best-known Belgian bands of the 1980s. After the band split in 1986 he enjoyed a solo career.

Luke_Walter_Jr.

Luk Renneboog, better known as Luke Walter Jr. (22 November 1947 – New York City, 18 June 1996), was a Belgian blues singer and musician.
In 1986, he founded the group Blue Blot with Albert Szukalski. With the second album 'Bridge to your heart', the group made a breakthrough to the general public.
In 1993, they discovered that he had leukemia. Just before his death, he made the solo album Back To Normal.

Jacques_Bouhy

Jacques-Joseph-André Bouhy (18 June 1848 – 29 January 1929) was a Belgian baritone, most famous for being the first to sing the "Toreador Song" in the role of Escamillo in the opera Carmen.
Bouhy was born in Pepinster. After studying at the Liège Conservatory of Music, he made his début at the Paris Opéra as Méphistophélès (Faust) in 1871. He performed at the Opéra-Comique as Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Escamillo (Carmen) in 1875. At the Comique he also created the role of Don César de Bazan in 1872. In 1882 he appeared at Covent Garden singing in Faust and Carmen. He spent time in the United States as the first director of the National Conservatory of Music of America in New York City before returning to Paris to sing the High Priest in Samson et Dalila (1890). He was extremely popular with audiences, and counted Massenet among his admirers.
Singers taught by him or who received instruction from him include Gervase Elwes, Clara Butt, Louise Kirkby Lunn, Suzanne Adams, Bessie Abott, Leon Rains, Eva Gauthier, Olive Rae, Florence Turner-Maley, Lillian Blauvelt and Louise Homer, as well as Nellie A. Hope and Xhosa/Scottish contralto Jessie M.Soga.He died in Paris in January 1929 aged 80.

Art_Sullivan

Marc Liénart van Lidth de Jeude (22 November 1950 – 27 December 2019), known professionally as Art Sullivan, was a Belgian singer. He was successful in many countries, including Belgium, France, Portugal and Germany. Art Sullivan sold ten million records between 1972 and 1978. Compilations of his hits are still released.
He died from pancreatic cancer on 27 December 2019.

Wannes_Van_de_Velde

Wannes Van de Velde (29 April 1937 – 10 November 2008), born Willy Cecile Johannes Van de Velde, in Antwerp, was a Flemish folk singer, guitarist, musician, poet, puppeteer and artist. He is most famous for his songs Ik Wil deze Nacht in de Straten Verdwalen (1973), Mijn Mansarde and De Brug van Willebroek (1990). His work is often categorized as kleinkunst. Van de Velde was known for singing in his local dialect.
