Charles_Devendeville

Charles Devendeville (8 March 1882 in Lesquin – 19 September 1914 in Reims) was a French swimmer and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris, where he received a gold medal in the underwater swimming. He died of injuries during the First World War, at age 32.

Damien_Joly

Damien Joly (born 4 June 1992 in Ollioules) is a French swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's 1500 metre freestyle, finishing in 14th place overall in the heats, failing to qualify for the final.

Alain_Mosconi

Alain Mosconi (born 9 September 1949) is a French former swimmer, Olympic medalist and world record holder. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics in six freestyle, butterfly and medley relay events. In 1968 he won a bronze medal in the 400 m freestyle and finished in fifth place in the 200 m individual freestyle and 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. In 1972, his best achievement was seventh place in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.He won two medals at the European Championships in 1966 and 1970. In 1967 he set world records in the 400 metres freestyle and 800 metres freestyle.
He was president of General Motors, SEAT and Fiat, in France.

Alfred_Nakache

Alfred Nakache (1915–1983) was a Jewish French swimmer and water polo player. A member of the French team for the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympic Games, he also swam in the first post-war Summer Olympics in London in 1948. He and Ben Helfgott are the only known Jewish athletes to have competed in the Olympics after surviving the Holocaust.
