Antônio de Souza Mendes Neto (30 April 1954 – 18 January 2017), better known as Toninho Mendes, was a Brazilian editor. He started working in the 1960s, going through several publishers and alternative newspapers, such as Movimento and Versus. In 1984, Mendes founded Circo Editorial, considered the most important Brazilian publishing house of alternative comics in the 1980s and 1990s. Circo featured artists such as Laerte, Angeli and Glauco, among other important names in the Brazilian underground comics that achieved prominence in the publications published by Mendes. The story of Circo publishing house was told by Mendes himself in the book Humor Paulistano: a experiência da Circo Editorial, 1984-1985, which won the Troféu HQ Mix in 2015 in two categories: "Best Theoretical Book" and "Best Editorial Project". Mendes also won the Troféu HQ Mix in 2011 in "Best Erotic Publication" category for Quadrinhos Sacanas, a collection organized by him which published anonymous erotic comics created between the 1950s and 1980s.

Alexander Mason Marlow (born January 24, 1986) is an American media executive who is currently the editor-in-chief of Breitbart News. Marlow began his career as Andrew Breitbart's editorial assistant, a position which he held for four years. He was hired in 2008 as Breitbart's inaugural managing editor and served as its first employee. Marlow is the former host of Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM.

Marcel Gottlieb (14 July 1934 – 4 December 2016), known professionally as Gotlib, was a French comics artist/writer and publisher. Through his own work and the magazines he co-founded, L'Écho des savanes and Fluide Glacial, he was a key figure in the switch in French-language comics from their children's entertainment roots to an adult tone and readership. His series include Rubrique-à-Brac, Gai-Luron, and Superdupont.

Doris Gibson Parra del Riego (28 April 1910 – 23 August 2008) was a Peruvian magazine writer and publisher. She is most noted as the founder and editor of the Peruvian weekly news magazine Caretas.She has been described as "a feminist before the movement had begun, and according to many, a visionary who influenced the course of Peru's recent history through the brave and defiant reporting of the magazine she created".

Pierre Yvert (30 September 1900 – 13 January 1964) was a French philatelic editor. Son of Louis Yvert, one of Yvert et Tellier's founders, he was manager of magazine L'Écho de la timbrologie and of many philatelic associations.

Philippe Manœuvre (born 19 June 1954) is a French music journalist.
He has been a radio and television presenter, specialized in rock music. He has been editor-in-chief for the magazine Métal Hurlant and was the editor-in-chief of the music monthly Rock & Folk. from 1993 to 2017. Since 2008, he was member of the jury of a reality show called Nouvelle Star on M6.

Michel Lévy frères was a Paris publishing house founded in 1836 by Michel Lévy with his brothers Nathan and Kalmus (Calmann). Michel served as publisher until his death in 1875, upon which Kalmus succeeded him and renamed the company as Calmann-Lévy.
