Émilie Simon (French pronunciation: [emili simɔ̃]; born 1978 in Montpellier, Occitanie, France) is a French singer, songwriter and composer of electronic music.

Emmanuel de Blommaert de Soye (15 October 1875 – 12 April 1944) was a Belgian horse rider who competed in the 1912 and 1920 Summer Olympics. In 1912 he won the bronze medal in the individual jumping competition, riding Clomore, and finished sixths with the Belgian team in the team jumping event. In the individual dressage competition he was 21st. In the individual eventing contest he was disqualified in the cross country ride, and the Belgian team was unplaced in the team eventing competition, when none of their riders were able to finish.Eight years later he and his horse Grizzly finished eleventh in the individual dressage event.

Jacques Cariou (23 September 1870 – 7 October 1951) was a French show jumping champion. Cariou participated at the 1912 Summer Olympics held in Stockholm, where he won a gold medal in the individual jumping, a silver medal in team jumping with the horse Mignon, and a bronze medal in individual three-day eventing with the horse Cocotte.

Alberto Talegalli (2 October 1913 – 10 July 1961) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 37 films between 1952 and 1961. He was born in Pincano (Spoleto), Italy and died in Gualdo Tadino, in the province of Perugia, Italy.

Librado Net Pérez (1895-1964) was a Puerto Rican musician, educator and painter from Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was the first director of the Escuela Libre de Música de Ponce, considered the best of Puerto Rico's free Music Schools at the time. He directed the school from the early 1950s and continuing until just prior to his death in 1964.

Otto Bartning (12 April 1883 in Karlsruhe – 20 February 1959 in Darmstadt) was a Modernist German architect, architectural theorist and teacher. In his early career he developed plans with Walter Gropius for the establishment of the Bauhaus. He was a member of Der Ring. In 1951, he was elected president of the Federation of German Architects.

Daniel Egan (c. 1803 – 16 October 1870) was an Australian politician who served as Mayor of Sydney in 1853. He was also a member of the New South Wales Parliament.Egan was born in Windsor, New South Wales and was a foreman at the Government Dockyards, Sydney from 1824 to its closure in 1835. He then went into business and acquired several trading and whaling vessels but went bankrupt in 1843 and later became a wine and spirit merchant. He became an alderman of the Sydney City Council on its creation in 1842, resigning due to his bankruptcy. He returned as an alderman in 1846, rising to mayor in 1853. He purchased two 40-acre (16 ha) blocks of land in Beacon Hill in 1857.
Egan was elected to the Legislative Council on 1 April 1854, representing the Pastoral District of Maneroo. In April 1856 he was elected at the first election to the Legislative Assembly, representing Maneroo, which was renamed Monara in 1858. He was defeated for Monara at the 1859 election, but had been elected for the adjoining district of Eden which he held until 1869. He was defeated for Eden in December 1869, but won the election for Monara in January 1870. From 27 October 1868 until his death he was the Postmaster-General of New South Wales in the second Robertson and fifth Cowper ministries.Egan died on 16 October 1870(1870-10-16) (aged 66–67) at his home in the Sydney harbourside suburb of Watsons Bay.
