Charles Anthoine Gonnet (November 3, 1897 – September 26, 1985) was a French poet. He was born in Laon. In 1924 he won a bronze medal in the art competitions of the Olympic Games for his "Vers le Dieu d'Olympie" ("Face to Face with Olympia's God").

Monte Gene Smith (born April 24, 1967) is a former guard in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the ninth round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He played the 1989 season with the team. After a year away from the NFL, he was again a member of the team during the 1991 NFL season, but did not see any playing time in a regular season game.
