Henry Allen Holmes (born January 31, 1933) was the United States Ambassador to Portugal from 1982 to 1985 and a career diplomat.

Frederic-Hans von Rosenberg (26 December 1874 – 30 July 1937) was a German diplomat and politician. He served as Reichsaußenminister (Foreign Minister of Germany) in the cabinet of Wilhelm Cuno in 1922–1923.

Philipp Alfons Freiherr Mumm von Schwarzenstein (19 March 1859 – 10 July 1924) (also known as Alfons von Mumm) was a diplomat of the German Empire. He succeeded the murdered Baron Clemens von Ketteler as ambassador in Beijing in 1900.

Paulino José Soares de Sousa, the Viscount of Uruguai (4 October 1808 – 15 July 1866), was a congressman, a senator, a State Councillor and a skilful diplomat.Born in Paris, he distinguished himself during the 1850s when, as Minister of Foreign Affairs for Brazil, he organized the Brazilian Diplomatic Corps and structured the entire Brazilian policy of intervention in the River Plate against Juan Manuel de Rosas from Argentina, and Manuel Oribe from Uruguay.
A cautious diplomat, he knew how to take advantage of favourable circumstances, excluding unilateral action by Brazil and acting only at the request of the constitutional governments in the region. Success also came from his part in Franco-English involvement. He took on the financial burden incurred by France in maintaining the government of Montevideo and in relation to England, took steps towards the abolition of the slave traffic, creating favourable conditions for involvement by Brazil and its allies. In Paris in 1855 he negotiated the issue of Brazilian borders with French Guiana, which resulted in the matter being finally resolved in 1900, by the Baron of Rio Branco.
The Viscount died in Rio de Janeiro, aged 58.

Luis Miguel Valdivieso Montano is Peruvian politician. He was the Minister of Economy and Finance of Peru from July 2008 until January 2009. He was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru in the United States in 2009.

José Manuel Rodríguez Cuadros is a Peruvian diplomat. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru from 2003 to 2005, during Alejandro Toledo's presidency, and later was appointed ambassador to Bolivia in 2010.

Sir Robert Heatlie Scott, (20 September 1905 – 26 February 1982) was a British civil servant who became Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence.

Hans-Heinrich Dieckhoff (23 December 1884 – 21 March 1952) was a German diplomat best known for his service to the Nazi regime.
Dieckhoff was born in Strasbourg, Alsace-Lorraine. From 1937 to November 1938 he served as German ambassador to the United States, until recalled in response to the American recall of its ambassador in protest over the Kristallnacht. He was the last to occupy the post until after the war. In 1943 he assumed the post of ambassador to Spain.
Dieckhoff was interrogated after the war and was called to testify at the Nuremberg trials, but he was never formally charged with any crime. During his American posting he was involved in the controversy over the German American Bund relaying an order from the German government that German nationals were not to be associated with the organization; and in 1938 he warned Adolf Hitler that President Roosevelt had taken an implacably hostile stance towards the Nazi government and that he was preparing for war against Germany.Dieckhoff was related through marriage to Joachim von Ribbentrop, being the brother-in-law of Ribbentrop's sister.
