Christophe Caresche (born 2 September 1960 in Arcachon) was a member of the National Assembly of France from 1997 to 2017. He represented the Paris's 18th constituency as a member of the Socialiste, radical, citoyen et divers gauche.
Dominique Baert (born 24 October 1959) is a French politician who served as a member of the National Assembly, representing the Nord department. He is a member of the Socialist Party (Parti Socialiste) and works in association with the SRC parliamentary group.In 2019, Baert publicly declared his support for incumbent President Emmanuel Macron.

Jan Verdoodt (1908–1980) came from Sint-Pieters-Jette in Belgium. He attended the Academie van Sint-Jans-Molenbeek from 1926, under Frans Persoons, where he was attracted equally by Realism (in the work of Eugène Laermans) and Surrealism (in Magritte's paintings). He developed his own style by combining these two schools, creating 'a kind of magic realism in which dream and reality, woman and nature, were intimately bound together'.

Sir Richard Charles Scrimgeour Shepherd (6 December 1942 – 19 February 2022) was a British politician who was Member of Parliament for Aldridge-Brownhills from 1979 to 2015. A Eurosceptic, Shepherd was one of the Maastricht Rebels that had the whip withdrawn over opposition to Prime Minister John Major's legislation on the European Union. Shepherd was also a libertarian Conservative, and had a three line whip imposed against him by Margaret Thatcher when he introduced an amendment to loosen the Official Secrets Act 1911.

He was a prolific author of more than fifty titles, including popular science works about astronomy, several notable early science fiction novels, and works on psychical research and related topics. He also published the magazine L'Astronomie, starting in 1882. He maintained a private observatory at Juvisy-sur-Orge, France.
