Ralf Pittelkow (born 9 April 1948 in Sønderborg, Denmark) is a Danish publisher of the extreme right online news site Den Korte Avis.
Pittelkow graduated as a student from high school in 1966 and holds a PhD in comparative literature from University of Copenhagen in 1973. From 1973 to 1992, he was assistant professor and associate professor at the Department of Comparative Literature at University of Copenhagen. For 17 years, until the end of 2011, he was a political commentator at the newspaper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. Together with his wife, he founded the news site Den Korte Avis in 2012 where he maintains a position as editor-in-chief.The credibility of Den Korte Avis is debated. In 2014, an article published by the Danish Union of Journalists said that Den Korte Avis damaged the reputation of journalists and argued that it, despite its name (in English: "The Short Newspaper"), was not a real newspaper, as it often copied from other sources and misrepresented news stories. In December 2016, numerous advertisers, such as McDonald's, IKEA, Nordea, Alm. Brand, Doctors Without Borders and others, pulled their ads from the site, due to claims that several of the news stories publicized on the site were "lies and fabrications".Pittelkow was the personal assistant for the former Prime Minister of Denmark Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and has for many years been married to the politician Karen Jespersen. He has, like his wife, been active in both the Left Socialists, Socialist People's Party, and the Social Democrats.In the book Islamister og Naivister: et anklageskrift (Islamists and Naivists: a bill of indictment), which he wrote together with his spouse, Danish journalist and politician Karen Jespersen, he warns of an underestimation of the Islamist threat. He published his autobiography Mit liv som dansker (My life as a Dane) in 2009.In 1997, Pittelkow received the Laust Jensen Prize.

Torben Niels Ebbesen (born 10 July 1945) is a Danish sculptor and painter. His installations in contrasting materials and other abstract works can be seen in locations in Denmark, Germany and Sweden as well as in several Danish museums.

Erling Jepsen (born 14 May 1956 in Gram, Denmark) is a Danish author and playwright whose output primarily deals with his hometime of Gram and the culture in the surrounding region of Southern Jutland. His novel Frygtelig lykkelig (Terribly Happy) was adapted into the 2008 neo-noir thriller Terribly Happy, and his autobiographical novel Kunsten at Græde i Kor (The Art of Crying) was adapted into the 2006 film The Art of Crying.Jepsen won the 2004 Holberg Medal for his contributions to Danish drama.

Jes Peter Asmussen (2 November 1928 – 5 August 2002), was a Danish Iranologist.Asmussen was born and raised in Aabenraa. He studied theology and the Greenlandic language at the University of Copenhagen and earned his candidatus theologiæ degree in 1954. He then studied Iranistics in Cambridge, London, Hamburg, and Tehran, and earned his doctorate in 1965 at the University of Copenhagen. He was associated with the university throughout his academic career, becoming associate professor in 1966 and full professor in 1967, succeeding professor Kaj Barr. He retired in 1998.Asmussen's research focused on the religions of Iran. He was mostly interested in Manicheism, but also wrote about Zoroastrianism, Islam and Christianity in ancient Iran, as well as the Judeo-Persian language and literature. He is counted among the central figures of the Danish Orientalist scholarship.He was elected member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters in 1973 and corresponding member of Saxon Academy of Sciences in 1982. He was appointed a Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1976 and received an honorary doctorate from Lund University in 1986.Asmussen died in 2002 and is interred at the Cemetery of Holmen in Copenhagen.

Lisbeth Balslev (born 21 February 1945) is a Danish operatic soprano with an international career, especially in Wagnerian operas.
Balslev was born in Aabenraa and originally trained as a nurse. She then studied singing, first at the Academy of Music and Music Communication in Esbjerg, then at the opera academy of the Royal Danish Theater in Copenhagen. In 1976, she made her debut at the Royal Danish Theater as Yaroslavna in Prince Igor.After two years, Balslev left the Royal Danish Theater and had her international breakthrough as Senta in Harry Kupfer's staging of Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer at the 1978 Bayreuth Festival. From 1979 to 1983 she sang at the Hamburg State Opera, after which she has worked freelance at La Scala, the Vienna State Opera and Bayreuth among others.In addition to her professional work, Balslev was in 1992 among the founders of an organization which supports orphanages in Romania and provides summer and Christmas vacations for the children.Balslev has received several awards and honors, including Tagea Brandt Rejselegat (1996) and the Reumert Prize, of which she was the first recipient (1999). In 1993, she was made a Dame of the Order of the Dannebrog.

Bernhard Gottfried Max Hugo Eberhard, Graf von Schmettow, usually shortened to Eberhard Graf von Schmettow, (17 September 1861 – 21 January 1935) was a German general of World War I.

Juan Diego Gutiérrez de la Casas (born 28 April 1992) is a Peruvian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Deportivo Garcilaso.

Kate Næss (30 July 1938 – 15 July 1987) was a Norwegian poet and translator. She was born in Oslo, and was married to theatre director Janken Varden. She made her literary debut in 1962 with the poetry collection Billedskrift. Later collections were Mørkerommet from 1964 and Blindgjengere from 1969. She was among the pioneers of Club 7 in Oslo, and is credited for inventing the name of the club. Poet Jan Erik Vold has labeled her the "secret queen of the sixties".

Valérie Nicolas (born 12 March 1975) is a French handball goalkeeper and former player of the French national team. She became World Champion in 2003 with the French team, and was also voted Most Valuable Player and Best Goalkeeper. She was voted into the All-Star Team in the 2007 World Championship. Among her other triumphs are a silver medal from the World Championships, two bronze medals from the European Championships, victories at the Champions League, the EHF Cup, the Cup Winners' Cup, and both French and Danish national championships.

Henning Carlsen (4 June 1927 – 30 May 2014) was a Danish film director, screenwriter, and producer most noted for his documentaries and his contributions to the style of cinéma vérité. Carlsen's 1966 social-realistic drama Hunger (Sult) was nominated for the Palme d'Or and won the Bodil Award for Best Danish Film. Carlsen also won the Bodil Award the following year for the comedy People Meet and Sweet Music Fills the Heart. Acting as his own producer since 1960, Carlsen has directed more than 25 films, 19 for which he wrote the screenplay. In 2006, he received the Golden Swan Lifetime Achievement Award at the Copenhagen International Film Festival.
