Grethe Werner (28 May 1928 – 30 October 2014) was a Norwegian sportswoman, a pioneer in women's sport in Norway, active in handball, gymnastics and track and field athletics. She was born in Oslo, and was married to Olaf Evjenth. She represented the clubs Grefsen IL (handball), Oslo Turnforening (gymnastics), and Torshaug IF (track and field).
Colette Béatrice Aboulker-Muscat (28 January 1909 – 25 November 2003) was a French teacher, writer, natural healer, and kabbalist whose focus was on the healing power of dream imagery. As a young woman, she took part in the Resistance movement in Vichy Algeria with her father Dr. Henri Samuel Aboulker and brother Jose Aboulker and, as a result, was awarded the Croix de Guerre in January 1948. She studied philosophy at the Sorbonne as well as psychology with French psychotherapist Robert Desoille, becoming interested in mental imagery and dream imagery, which would become her life's work.
A practitioner of The Kabbalah of Light, in 1954 she moved to Jerusalem where she was honored with the Yakir Yerushalayim (Worthy Citizen of Jerusalem) award in 1995, and authored five books about the healing power of mental and dream imagery.
Saint Marie-Hermine of Jesus (1866–1900, born Irma Grivot) was a French nun and Mother Superior who died during the Boxer Rebellion in China and was canonised in 2000. She and six other nuns had gone to China to create a small hospital and to staff an orphanage, but were ultimately killed due to their association with foreign interference. She is one of the group known as the Martyr Saints of China who were canonised by Pope John Paul II 1 October 2000.
Henri Albert Hartmann (16 June 1860 – 1 January 1952) was a French surgeon. He wrote numerous papers on a wide variety of subjects, ranging from war injuries to shoulder dislocations to gastrointestinal cancer. Hartmann is best known for Hartmann's operation, a two-stage colectomy he devised for colon cancer and diverticulitis.
William Knutzen (4 July 1913 – 11 February 1983) was a Norwegian ceramist. He was born in Christiania. He established his own workshop in Oslo in 1933, and had his exhibition debut in 1935. From 1946 to 1949 he was artistical leader at Graverens Teglverk in Sandnes. He is represented in various museums, including the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and museums in Vienna and in Faenza.
After he established his own ceramics workshop in Oslo in 1933, he joined the company with Andreas Thiele Schneider in 1937. The established Schneider & Knutzen der Knutzen became the artistic driving force. That same year, William Knutzen participated in the Norwegian Pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris. From around 1940 he often worked with chamotte ceramics with coarse, elegantly sharpened patterns and bold colors on creamy tin glass. During the period 1946–49, Knutzen was artistic director of the ceramics department at Graveren. At the same time as he established a new workshop in 1949, he also became an artistic director of Arnold Wiig's Fabrikker in Halden. Knutzens works from the early 1950s are characterized by an experimental abstract form in partially glazed red-colored.
Sir James Paget, 1st Baronet FRS HFRSE (11 January 1814 – 30 December 1899) (, rhymes with "gadget") was an English surgeon and pathologist who is best remembered for naming Paget's disease and who is considered, together with Rudolf Virchow, as one of the founders of scientific medical pathology. His famous works included Lectures on Tumours (1851) and Lectures on Surgical Pathology (1853). There are several medical conditions which were described by, and later named after, Paget:

Jalloul "Chico" Bouchikhi (Arabic: جلول البوشيخي; born 13 October 1954) is a French musician and a co-founder of the Gipsy Kings. After leaving the band in 1991, he formed his own group, Chico & the Gypsies.
Ricardo Baliardo (7 August 1921 – 5 November 2014), better known as Manitas de Plata, was a flamenco guitarist of Spanish Gitano descent, born in southern France. Despite achieving worldwide fame, he was criticized for not following certain rhythmic rules (compás) that are traditional in flamenco.
