Martin Mehren (8 August 1905 – 2 October 2002) was a Norwegian businessperson and sportsperson.He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of merchant Herman Mehren (1875-1941) and Agnethe Ingberg (1882-1937), and was an uncle of poet Stein Mehren.Mehren became Norwegian champion in rowing several times, and twice Scandinavian champion. During the summer of 1931, he crossed Greenland on ski with Arne Høygaard, travelling from Uummannaq to Nordfjord.Together with his brother, Arne Mehren (1910-1990), he chaired the clothing company Herman Mehren AS from 1935, which had been established by his father in 1903. He chaired the Norwegian Trekking Association from 1953 to 1957, and was a member of the advisory board from 1957 to 1981.His brother's son was the poet Stein Mehren.

Anne-Lisa Amadou (4 March 1930 – 19 March 2002) was a Norwegian literary researcher.
She was born in Oslo. In 1966 she took her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree with a thesis on Marcel Proust.
She was a Professor of French literature at the University of Oslo from 1970 to 1982. In 1981 she was awarded the Bastian Prize for her translation of In Search of Lost Time. (French: A la recherche du temps perdu) and, in 1984, the Fritt Ord Honorary Award.

Oluf Bernhard Reed-Olsen (8 July 1918 – 14 October 2002) was a Norwegian resistance member and pilot during World War II. As a resistance member he is best known for the Lysaker Bridge sabotage as well as operating illegal radio transmitters. After the war he was a businessman and Scouting leader. He wrote books and contributed to a film based on his war experience.

Pedro Juan Soto (July 11, 1928 - November 7, 2002) was a Puerto Rican writer, activist, and playwriter who is known for inspiring Puerto Rican Independence in his novels and short stories. In his stories, he depicts the life of people living in Puerto Rico under United States occupation during the 1930's to the Puerto Rican diaspora to the United States in the 1950's.

Carl Frederik Prytz (23 September 1922 – 5 March 2002) was a Norwegian poet, novelist, essayist, playwright, translator, radio personality and literary critic.
He was born in Aker to civil servant Leonard Christian Prytz and painter Ellen Marie Jensen, and was nephew of goldsmith Eiler Hagerup Krog Prytz, Jr. and Fascist politician Frederik Prytz. He made his literary debut in 1945 with the poetry collection Da senker jeg mine våpen. He was literary critic for the newspaper Aftenposten from 1947 to 1955, and radio presenter for NRK from 1951 to 1955. In 1956 he published the essay collection Tretten norske lyrikere. Among his novels are De vindskeive from 1979, Mannen som hadde rett from 1982, and Skjulestedet from 1984.

Lewis Raymond Stricklyn (October 8, 1928 – May 14, 2002) was an American film actor, stage actor, television actor, soap opera star and publicist. His acting career took off with B-movie Westerns that placed his boyish good looks playing opposite top talent of the time.
