Margo Sybranda Everdina Scharten-Antink (September 7, 1868 – November 27, 1957) was a Dutch poet. She was born in Zutphen and died in Florence, Italy. In 1928 she and her husband Carel Scharten won a bronze medal in the art competitions of the Olympic Games for their "De nar uit Maremmen" ("The Fool in Maremma").
Fritz Albert Erich "Ete" Rademacher (9 June 1901 – 2 April 1979) was a German breaststroke swimmer and water polo goalkeeper who competed at the 1928 and 1932 Olympics. In 1928 he was a member of the German water polo team that won the gold medal, he also won a silver medal in the 200 metres breaststroke. Four years later he won another silver medal with the German water polo team.
Lambertus "Bep" van Klaveren (26 September 1907 – 12 February 1992) was a Dutch boxer, who won the gold medal in the featherweight division at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam. Van Klaveren remains the only Dutch boxer to have won an Olympic gold medal. His younger brother Piet competed as a boxer at the 1952 Summer Olympics.
Charles Pacôme (5 November 1902 – 1 October 1978), born in Bergues, Nord, was a French olympic champion in freestyle wrestling.
Jules Ladoumègue (French: [ʒyl ladumɛg]; 10 December 1906 – 2 March 1973) was a French middle-distance runner. He became a running star as the sport enjoyed a huge resurgence at the start of the Great Depression, fueled in large part by newsreel coverage. His career was abruptly cut short when he was banned for life from track for payments he received for several races.
