Robert Bruce Mathias (November 17, 1930 – September 2, 2006) was an American decathlete, politician, and actor. Representing the United States, he won two Olympic gold medals in the Decathlon, at the 1948 and the 1952 Summer Games. As a Republican, he served in the US House of Representatives for California's 18th congressional district, for four terms from 1967 to 1975.

Thyge_Thøgersen

Thyge Thøgersen (4 November 1926 – 18 February 2016) was a Danish long-distance runner. He competed at the 1952, 1956 and the 1960 Summer Olympics, placing 24th at 10,000 metres in the 1952, 6th in the 1960 marathon and 8th at 5000 metres in 1956.

Gerrard_Cole

Gerrard Eugene Cole (February 18, 1928 – January 11, 2018) was an American athlete who competed mainly in the 400 metres.Born in New Lexington, Ohio, Gene Cole attended Lancaster High School (Ohio). He competed for the United States in the 1952 Summer Olympics held in Helsinki, Finland in the 4 x 400 metre relay where he won the silver medal with his teammates 400 metres bronze medalist Ollie Matson, Charles Moore and Mal Whitfield.

René Bonino (14 January 1930 – 17 August 2016) was a French sprinter who competed in the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics. He died on 18 August 2016 at the age of 86 .

Ignace Heinrich (31 July 1925 – 9 January 2003) was a French athlete who competed mainly in the decathlon. He was born in Ebersheim, Bas-Rhin, Alsace.He competed for France in the decathlon at the 1948 Summer Olympics held in London, Great Britain, winning a silver medal. He died in Carnoux-en-Provence.
