Saïd M'Roumbaba (French pronunciation: [said ɛmʁumbaba]; born 14 January 1979), better known by his stage name Soprano, is a French rapper, singer and songwriter. He was a part of the rap group Psy 4 de la Rime. After leaving the group to make his first solo album. He recorded his solo debut Puisqu'il Faut Vivre which made the Billboard European Top 100. He returned in 2010 with a new solo album called La Colombe, which included collaborations with numerous artists such as Indila and Amadou & Mariam. He has continued to work with Psy4 de la Rime: their third album, Les Cités d'Or, was released in 2008, and their fourth album 4eme Dimension came out in April 2013.
On 19 September 2018, Soprano entered at the Musée Grévin. His wax statue wears a hat signed by De Bornarel, a Karl Lagerfeld jacket and Aaron Jah Stone jewellery; the outfit is the one he wore at the NRJ Music Awards 2018 ceremony. "We kept this outfit, we thought it mixed The Voice, my career, the scene... it summed it up well" he told France 3.

Rémy Martin (born 10 August 1979 in Aubenas, Ardèche) is a French rugby union footballer. He has also played for France. His usual position is at flanker.
Martin's first club was Mont de Marsan. He played six games for the club in the European Challenge Cup during the 2000–01 season, including scoring a try in the first two matches against Bristol and Parma. The following season he signed with Stade Français. He played in five matches for the Stade Français in the 2001–02 Heineken Cup, starting one game against Munster.
Martin made his international debut for France in 2002, in a match against England during the 2002 Six Nations Championship on 6 March. Martin played in two other tests for France during the tournament, against Scotland and Ireland. In 2003, he played four matches for Stade Français during the 2002–03 Heineken Cup, scoring a try in a pool match against Rovigo. Stade Français made it to the final of the domestic championship of France, where they met Toulouse. Stade Français defeated Toulouse 32 points to 18 at Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
The following season Stade Français again made it to the final of the French championship, where they were to face USA Perpignan. Stade Français defeated Perpignan 38 points to 20 in the final, making it back-to-back championships. Stade Français made it to the final of the 2004–05 Heineken Cup, where they were to face Toulouse, who they defeated in the French championship in 2003. However, Toulouse won, 18 points to 12. Stade Français also made it to the French championship that season, but were defeated by Biarritz Olympique 37 points to 34.
In 2005, he was called up to the French squad for tests against the Springboks and Australia. He played in the first test against the Springboks on 18 June, and then had a starting position in the subsequent tests against South Africa again, and Australia. He earned another four caps that year, playing tests against Australia, Canada, Tonga and South Africa in November.
In 2006, Martin played two matches for France during the 2006 Six Nations Championship, against Scotland and Ireland. France went on to win the tournament. He was then selected in the French squad for tests against Romania and the Springboks in June.
He completed his move from Stade Français to Bayonne during summer 2008.
In 2010, he was selected in the French Barbarians squad to play Tonga on 26 November.

Nicolas Portal (23 April 1979 – 3 March 2020) was a French directeur sportif and professional road bicycle racer. He was born in Auch, France.
He missed much of the 2009 season because of problems with cardiac arrhythmia and retired as a professional cyclist following the 2010 season. He stayed with his final professional team, Team Sky, as a manager from the 2011 season. Following the retirement of Sean Yates, Portal was appointed lead directeur sportif of Team Sky for 2013.
He died of a heart attack on 3 March 2020, aged 40.

Sébastien Joly (born 25 June 1979 in Tournon-sur-Rhône) is a French former professional road racing cyclist, who competed as a professional between 2000 and 2011. In 2006, he joined the Française des Jeux on the UCI ProTour. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer on 25 June 2007, his 28th birthday. He underwent an operation and then completed radiotherapy treatment on 11 September. Joly joined former team FDJ as a coach for the 2015 season.

Sandy Casar (born 2 February 1979) is a French former professional racing cyclist, who competed as a professional between 2000 and 2013, all for the Française des Jeux team. His greatest results have been winning three stages of the Tour de France, as well the overall classification of the Route du Sud in 2005. He also won the one-day race Paris–Camembert in 2011.

Lionel Cappone (born February 8, 1979) is a French former professional football player who played as a goalkeeper.
Born in Marignane, a suburb of Marseille, he began his career at his local club, Olympique de Marseille. However, after several seasons without playing a single match, he joined Besançon RC, where he played every match in the 2002–03 Ligue 2 season.
Moving to another Ligue 2 club, Dijon FCO, he played just three matches in the 2003–04 season before moving to Angers SCO.
He moved to Ligue 1 club FC Lorient ahead of the 2006–07 season, where he was handed the number 1 shirt.
Cappone's debut for Lorient came on Saturday, October 28, 2006, when he was brought on 12 minutes into Lorient's match against Valenciennes FC to replace the injured Fabien Audard. However, it lasted all of 12 minutes; after taking down an opposing striker, he was sent off and had to be replaced by midfielder Ulrich Le Pen, who make a few very good saves in Lorient's 1–0 shutout victory.In July 2011 signed a two-year contract with Stade Brestois.

Camel Meriem (born 18 October 1979) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Sochaux, Bordeaux, Marseille, AS Monaco, Aris, Arles-Avignon, OGC Nice, and Apollon Limassol. He has represented France at international level.
