Younghoe Koo (Korean: 구영회; RR: Gu Yeonghoe; pronounced YOUNG-way; born August 3, 1994) is a South Korean-born American football placekicker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2020 after leading the league in scoring that year. He is fourth in the NFL's all-time leader in field goal percentage (minimum 100 attempts). Koo is also known for his ability to successfully execute onside kicks.Koo played four seasons of college football for the Georgia Southern Eagles and was named a finalist for the Lou Groza Award in 2016. He signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2017 but was released a month into the season after missing consecutive game-ending kicks. Following a year away from football, Koo played for the Atlanta Legends of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), where he converted all of his field goal attempts until the AAF suspended operations. His success led to his return to the NFL the same year with the Falcons.
