WFME (1560 kHz) is a non-commercial, religious-formatted AM radio station licensed to New York, New York, broadcasting with 1,000 watts, under a special temporary authority (STA). The station is owned and operated by Family Radio, a Christian radio ministry based in Nashville, Tennessee.
WFME went temporarily silent on the morning of February 15, 2021, following Family Radio's sale of its Maspeth, Queens transmitter site, for future redevelopment.On October 26, 2021, the station returned to the air from a new tower site, operating with 1,000 watts under special temporary authority (STA), granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).The station ceased broadcasting on March 4, 2024, due to "irrevocable technical difficulties".
