Ronald K. Crumpley (January 26, 1942 – April 30, 2015) was a former officer with the NYC Transit Authority who went on a shooting spree in New York City's Greenwich Village neighborhood in November 1980, targeting gay men.
Though he confessed to the shooting in which two men died and eight others were wounded, Crumpley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Crumpley spent the rest of his life in mental institutions.
