Ray_Woodard

Ray Woodard (born August 20, 1961) is a former American football coach and player. He was the head football coach of the Lamar Cardinals football from 2008 to 2016. Prior to that spent 11 years coaching at various positions for different teams at the college and professional level. He spent four seasons in the National Football League with the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs during which he played in nine games all during the strike-shortened 1987 season. He played three games as a "scab" for Denver, the year they went to Super Bowl XXII but he was ineligible to share in the bonus because he'd resigned with the Chiefs. Prior to playing in the NFL he played four years of college football at Kilgore College and Texas.
