La Rochefoucauld (French pronunciation: [la ʁɔʃfuko]; Limousin: La Ròcha Focaud) is a former commune in the Charente department in southwestern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune La Rochefoucauld-en-Angoumois.It lies very close to the line which delineated occupied France and Vichy France during World War II.
