Ed McCaffrey (born August 17, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos. He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal, earning first-team All-America honors in 1990.
Regarded as one of the best blocking wide receivers of all time, he is a three-time Super Bowl champion (XXIX, XXXII, XXXIII), one-time Pro Bowl selection, one-time All-Pro selection, two-time All-Madden selection, and member of the Denver Broncos 50th Anniversary Team. His nicknames include "Easy," “Eddie Mac,” “White Lightning,” and “The Bruise.”
