Courtney Lanair Brown (born February 14, 1978) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end for seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the Cleveland Browns. He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions, earning consensus All-American honors in 1999. Cleveland selected him with the first overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft, and he played professionally for the Browns and Denver Broncos in the NFL.
Brown is often listed as a draft bust, noted among others such as 2014 1st round picks Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel.
